Description

The ScoopFree Ultra Self-Cleaning Cat Litter Box is the self-cleaning box that you can leave alone for weeks at a time. Simply plug in the box and watch it work. The automatic rake system sweeps waste into the covered compartment 5, 10 or 20 minutes after your cat uses the litter box, with a timer that will reset if the safety sensors detect your cat has re-entered the box. The health counter lets you track how many times your cat has used the litter box to quickly identify possible health problems. A privacy hood keeps the litter in the box, and it comes with one tray of special crystal litter to get you started—and it’s five times more effective at reducing odor than clay or clumping litters! It’s literally a breath of fresh air at all times.

Key Benefits
  • Self-cleaning automatic rake system cleans entire box 20 minutes after your cat goes to the bathroom. The rakes moves waste into a separated closed waste compartment for superior order control.
  • Crystal litter is formulated to eliminate odors 5 times more efficiently than clay or clumping litter. It is also designed to absorb urine on contact and dries solid waste to reduce odor.
  • Plastic litter tray liners prevent leaking that can stink up your home. Disposable litter trays are ideal for easy clean-up and this box includes 1 litter-filled tray to get you started.
  • This product has been rigorously tested at manufacture's labs for more than 100,000 cycles without failure or jamming.
  • Extremely efficient as this system uses 5 to 10 times less litter than clay and clumping litter.

Take a Break From Litter Duty

PetSafe's ScoopFree Automatic Litter Box lets you take a break from scooping—for good. This self-cleaning system rakes through the litter, pushing waste into a covered trap at one end of the tray. Odors and liquid waste are absorbed by the quick-drying crystal litter. And you can rest easy, because your days of endless scooping are over.

Take a Break From Litter Duty
Fresh and Clean Every Time

Fresh and Clean Every Time

Every time kitty needs to go, she'll step into a dry, freshly cleaned litter box—the kind cats prefer. The motorized rake sweeps new waste into the covered compartment, waiting 20 minutes after your cat uses the box so she won't be startled. Because it's automatic, the ScoopFree box stays clean for weeks at a time. One tray lasts 20-30 days before needing to be replaced, for single-cat homes.

3 Simple Steps

Load It

1. Load It

Lift the box and slide a disposable litter tray underneath. It only takes a minute!

Leave It

2. Leave It

ScoopFree automatically rakes the waste into a covered trap, so you can relax.

Toss It

3. Toss It

Replace the soiled tray every few weeks with a fresh one.

Fast-Drying Crystals for Odor Control

The blue silica crystals in each disposable tray are five times more effective at odor reduction than clay or clumping litters. Liquids are trapped by the leakproof liner, and the crystals work fast to absorb them on contact. A dry litter box is less prone to bacterial growth—and the smell that comes with it.

  • Very upset and disappointed

It stopped working completely after almost 3 months of having the item. I have 1 cat and she doesn't even use the box very often. Not even a month of having the litter box, the rake kept stopping in the middle of its cycle of cleaning out the cat box. I really enjoyed the self cleaning because it was such a big help with my busy schedule, but it was more difficult than anything when I came home and there was cat waste still in the box. Very disappointed with this product. I did my research, saw the reviews and I thought this would be worth the purchase. I believe the item I received was made poorly for it to start not working properly within a month. I would give it all 5 stars if It stopped working completely after almost 3 months of having the item. I have 1 cat and she doesn't even use the box very often. • So easy and no smell

So I'm new at being a cat parent. I adopted 2 kittens back in March. I purchased a regular litter box with clumping litter. It is a lot of work. That chore was split between my 2 kids. I cleaned it every so often also, but mainly the kids chore every other day. And boy was it a lot of work. One huge little box for 2 cats equal a lot of clumps and poop. There is no smell, until it needs to be changed. There is no scooping out the box as the box does it itself. The machine scoops the waste to a covered area to contain the smell and the urine stays in the crystals with no smell. I love it. It is more expensive then the clumping litter but it's just so easy to use and it t looks so much nicer to look at. The only thing that isnt as advertised is that with 2 cats 15 it needs to be changed. It was 13 days days and I kinda new it was time to change the crystals but didnt and when I woke up in the morning my 1 cats pooped in my plant bed in the living room and 1 pooped on a towel in my bathroom. I changed the crystals and everything is back to normal. So 15 days is to long. 12 to 13 would be max for my 2 kittens. Overall we are all happy and I dont ever want to go back to the clumping litter. … more

  • Good product; adjust expectations.

The litter box is great; it functions just as it describes. The rake is smooth and quiet, works very well. If you leave it on the 20 minute setting, then the crystals have time to dehydrate the poop before the rake goes through it, so the rake stays mostly clean. I don't think that they should make any promises about the length of time the tray will stay fresh, because it just depends on the cat. For our family (1 cat 1 box), the crystals DO stay fresh as far as urine goes, for 3 to 4 weeks. But, he eats a lot, and therefore poops a lot, so for him, the trap area fills up to overflow with feces within a week and a half. So, bottom line is that I bought this with the idea that I could plug it in and forget about it for 3 or 4 weeks. But, I am still happy with it, because instead of scooping every day, this does that for me. I am only responsible for scooping out the excess about once per week. So really it is just an expectation adjustment. So for me, and for the cat, it was still a life improvement. As for those who mention the smell, yes. It smells when the trap is full. So, just go into in understanding that you will have to empty that thing from time to time, but it is a heck of a lot better than daily scooping! … more

  • Cats didn't like it

Before I launch into all the pros and cons of this product, let me say that I was very excited about giving this litter box a try. I really hoped that this would be a winner with our fussy felines. The product has some very nice features, including that the timer can be set from 5 to 20 minutes, the rake is quite dependable and rarely gets stuck, and the hood keeps the litter from flying out. But unfortunately, this was not a winner with our cats. Otherwise, forget it. It's a waste of money. … more

  • My Cats Did Not Like This At All

    By on

My cats refused to use it, if there was a way to set the timer to where it would scoop litter right after cats used it that might work better. As it is, my cats were freaked out because it would scoop while they were using it. Once that happened they refused to use it. The only way I could get them to use it was to turn it off and only run it when they weren't in the room. Also, the paper bottom is gross. The smell of ammonia almost knocked me over when I emptied it after only a few days. I really wanted it to work but it was not meant to be for me and my kitties. Oh well...

  • Rakes get dirty with poop then you have to wash the entire thing

    By on

Honestly expensive to replace the litter trays and this box doesn't do is job. Yes the poop is raked into a little compartment but then the poop get stuck on the rake and it stinks up the place. you'd have to let the poop dry until it rakes other wise it will get stuck but if you let the poop sit then it will stink either way. Waste of money just get a regular litter box and change frequently as you should.

  • So far, so good.

    By on

I just received my unit. At the present time, I'm having to scoop the litter manually because my kitten is too small and doesn't weigh enough for me to plug the unit in. I have noticed that the litter does hold the odor down, and l don't have the dust which regular clay litter seems to produce. Also, the new litter is easier to scoop as you don't waste any excess litter by throwing it out accidentally.

  • 4 paws and 2 thumbs up!

    By on

It took a few days for kitty to start using the new box so I left a regular litter box available. I love that I'm no longer a slave to the litter box! Happy cat, happy cat mom and hopefully now a happier landlord! I'm using it without the cover since my guy is 17 lbs. He likes to watch the rake up close! It's only been maybe 4-5 days of usage so far and no smell, but I did add a refill tray to the order so I'm ready when it needs it!

  • Scoop Free litter box - best investment!!!!

    By on

I needed to find an easier way to clean a litter box since my household just downsized and I'm away a good amount of the week. I bought two boxes and refills. It's a lot at once but definitely worth the initial expense. Since using it, there's hardly any mess vs. conventional litter. It's self cleaning for sure - every 20 minutes and the raking is very quiet. The replacements are quick and easy to do and there's barely any odor. I have two boxes/four cats and I end up replacing the refills every 6-7 days. There's no need for extra litter for during the week. There's no waste and plenty of litter. As far as clean-up, my daily cleaning went from 15 minutes to 10 seconds. • Best Litter box ever!

    By on

Great litter box, so easy to assemble and clean. Does exactly what it says, quiet and unassuming (ha) Kitty loves her clean lady space and it makes my life easier, I don't always have to time to clean sand nor sometimes do I care. Truly a great purchase. The only gripe I have, I originally purchased the unit at the cost of $159.00 and now it is $99.00. Too bad too sad !
