    Answer to my prayers

Honey yes. This right here is a sanity saver. We have 2 cats, and we'd tried so many different brands/types of cat litter to find something that would contain the smell and never could. We absolutely hate cleaning the litter box, but now we barely have to do anything to it. The crystals soak up the urine and the rake takes care of the poop.We ended up buying the reusable tray, so we will have to deal with cleaning a little more, but I'm a-okay with that now. … more

I was very excited to get this "machine"- it works as described but my cat uses it TOO much (I guess) and one tray only lasts 3 or 4 DAYS ! Smelly ? yes even though the waste is moved into the receptical . I am in my late 70's and needed something that would help me with the cat box. Not sure that I will be able to continue to use it. Service people with Chewy have been very nice and I called the phone # on the Scoop Free info and that person was very nice and evensent a lavender type of litter.VERY good service but I'm still not sure I will be able to continue use. … more

  • Disappointed

Not what I expected for the price. It literally just moves the poop under a piece of box

  • Great concept...But

    By on

The liter box overall is a great concept. However anyone with cats knows they are creatures of habit. This box is relatively small and difficult for any other size cat then small to get in and out of without a huge mess. The cover makes it almost scary for my 2 cats to hop in and out of. Pretty much a fail for our needs.

  • Good Idea

While this system sounded like a good idea at the time, in reality I'm having to change the litter in less than a week. One of our two cats has a very strong urine smell and after a day or two, when I sit nearby I can smell it in the litter. I think it will end up costing too much with less than favorable results.

  • Depends On You - Finicky About Dealing with Litter; Then Yes

I have always used clumping litter previously but wanted something cleaner as I was moving the litter box into the house from the garage due to male cat litter issues. Yes, the crystals are definitely cleaner. My male cat did well and liked the crystals. However, the unit is quite large, needs an electric outlet near by, is noisy and the electrical plug that comes with it hums. I found it easier just to get a cheap $5 plastic box and stick with the crystals in order to clean it out daily. This unit just pushes it under a little hatch which you cannot get to easily. Of course the price of the replacement trays are extremely pricey and with two adult cats you really can't go more than 5 to 7 days I have always used clumping litter previously but wanted something cleaner as I was moving the litter box into the house from the garage due to male cat litter issues. If you detest dealing with litter and don't mind the cost of a tray $15 on average, then you might be very happy with this unit. … more
