My kitty loves the malt flavor toothpaste. She and I have built a routine on how we go about brushing her teeth. We do this once a day. She knows it so well, and is ready and waiting for me. She has been very good about tolerating me brushing her teeth, and when done she likes to lick the toothbrush clean. She seems happy, and so am I. (I always rinse the toothbrush in hot water before brushing her teeth, to soften the bristles). Her teeth look cleaner, her gums look better, her breath is good. I couldn't be more pleased with this product. The longer I use it, the better the results. I also love the fact that this product is specifically for cats.

Like another consumer had previously reported, the bristles on the toothbrush are not as soft as the product claims them to be, but I too have found that if you dip them in boiling hot water, it softens them to an almost feather-like texture. But do take care not to use a boiling hot toothbrush on your feline companion, if you do venture to soften the bristles by way of dipping them in hot water. What I do immediately after softening the bristles is: I dip it again in LUKEWARM water, that way, I don't run the risk hurting my baby's mouth :)
This Crap Sucks

I don’t know what idiot human thought an obligate carnivore would like the flavor of “malt” (like?? WHAT EVEN is ‘malt’ anyways?!?!???), but it’s disgusting and gross and doesn’t even smell like anything. My cat HATES getting her teeth brushed and the crappy flavor doesn’t do ANYTHING to help either. It has this disgusting, gross consistency that gets stuck all in her face fur and whiskers and it doesn’t wash off with water either. I have to scrub the toothbrush 4-5 times with liquid and bar soap to get all the toothpaste out the bristles. I would give this crap negative 3 stars if I could.
Good toothbrush, dislikes toothpaste

My cat dislikes the toothpaste and the finger brush, but I have been using the regular toothbrush for three years now and it works very well. I brush his teeth once daily, just moistened with water (being careful not to get it too soaked, because I brush his teeth on his side/back in my lap and it can go up his nose). I also run the brush head under hot water first till it softens up a bit and then dip it in a cup of lukewarm water as I brush to keep it barely moist, so it's comfortable on his gums. Cold water stiffens the bristles.
He patiently lets me get both sides well and I reward about 30% of the time with a treat (better to treat sporadically). He patiently lets me get both sides well and I reward about 30% of the time with a treat (better to treat sporadically). I always scratch him and call him a good boy and he looks pretty proud. I usually do this right before a meal, because he is more patient when he wants food. His breath has been excellent ever since using and are very clean looking. I never feed dry food, which contributes to plaque, because it contains carbohydrates.. despite companies telling you kibble "cleans teeth" which is like saying eating croutons cleans teeth :/ The vet says my cat has the cleanest teeth she's seen.
On rare days, when he's just not in the mood or wants to be doing something else, I let him be. I want it to remain a positive experience. Luckily, I started when he was still fairly young.… more
Luna says nope

I was hoping to find something that would help my luna so she would need her teeth cleaned at the vet. This is not it. She backed away from the paste on my finger really quick
Helps with bad breath

We have a cat named Opal. Opal has bad breath. We tried treats, water additives, food additives, and still, nothing worked. Then we tried toothpaste. At first we couldn't get Opal to even try the toothpaste. Then we mixed it in with wet food, and she gobbled it up! Her breath is more tame now! Thanks Sentry!
Great Dental Kit!

This kit comes with everything you need to keep your feline friends’ teeth nice and clean! I’ve only used it a handful of times but I’ve never had any problems! Kitten doesn’t seem to mind the taste of the toothpaste so that’s a plus!
Easy to use! My cats love the flavor!!!

My cat and kitten both love this! The finger cover is perfect to rub their gums. I personally recommend putting a glob of tooth paste on a piece of paper and dipping the tooth brush in it. If I hold the toothbrush still my cat will chew on the bristles, brushing her own teeth.
the kitties let me and no injuries so far

First day they were a little unsure of the toothpaste so I used the finger brush cus it gives me a little more control and just let them get used to the feeling. We’ve now graduated to the toothbrush! While still not a fan of the act of brushing, they like the toothpaste and will tolerate the brushing to get some noms
My cat loved it.

As soon as I opened it my cat was totally interested. She loves the smell and the taste of the toothpaste.Hopefuly I can get her used to the brush as well because right now all she wants to do is chew on it.
Also it arrived pretty quick which I didn't expect that then again this is my first time buying anything from chewy so my experience with it right now is great.
