Active Ingredients: Flumethrin 4.5%, Imidacloprid 10.0%.
Use only one collar per animal. Fit collar around your pet's neck, allowing for 2 fingers to fit between the collar and your pet's neck to ensure a comfortable, yet snug, fit. Once collar is properly fitted, cut off any excess collar measuring 1" or longer. The collar should be worn continuously for the 8 month protection period. Check periodically and adjust fit if necessary, especially when puppies are rapidly growing. Keep the collar in the bag and in the outer packaging until use. Replace the collar after 8 months for optimal tick and flea protection.
Water Resistance: It is unnecessary to remove the collar before immersing your pet in water. Seresto remains effective following a shampoo treatment, swimming or exposure to rain or sunlight. In order to maintain an 8 month duration, pets must not be bathed more than once a month. For pets that swim once a month or more, the control duration is reduced to five months for fleas and seven months for ticks.

Because some pet owners may be concerned that a cat or small dog could get stuck while wearing a collar, Seresto is designed with a safety release mechanism. In the unlikely event of the cat being trapped, the cat's own strength is sufficient to widen the collar to allow for quick release. A hard pull causes the ratchet-release mechanism to allow a widening of the collar. The small dog and cat collars are equipped with a predetermined breaking point. A harder pull triggers the breaking of the collar at this point.
There is no expiration date required on the packaging by the EPA for this product. The product should be kept in its original packaging and stored as directed on the label.
Do not contaminate water, food or feed by storage or disposal.

Chewy is an authorized retailer of Seresto® products, which means we purchase the products we sell directly from Elanco, the maker of Seresto®. If you would like to verify the legitimacy of your collar, call Elanco’s veterinary team at 1-800-255-6826.
Fleas rise to the top of your pet's coat as they die, so consider it a triumph if you start seeing more fleas at first, after treating your pet. If you’re still seeing fleas after application, it may be because your pet has picked up new fleas from the environment, which may include other pets, surfaces and outdoor areas. It may take up to 30 days to break the entire flea life cycle. Additionally, you should also treat sources of new fleas (i.e., carpet, yard, etc.) to ensure complete flea control.

The veterinarian-recommended Seresto collar is non-greasy and helps avoid the inconvenience of applying monthly flea and tick treatments. It's easy to adjust for a secure fit and kills and repels ticks too. This is important because if a flea or tick is repelled, it cannot bite and transmit disease. Plus, the collar is designed with a ratchet-release mechanism and pre-determined breaking point.

We have 2 indoor cats and a dog that goes out in the yard. All three have these collars and yet they still have fleas. I’ve been washing their bedding daily and vacuuming(tile floors) almost daily. We also have leather furniture and I cover the beds with a top sheet that I change daily. I gave capstar (highly recommend) to all 3 pets which kill the adult fleas for 24hrs. But our dog picks up more fleas as soon as the capstar wears off. These aren’t nymph fleas either. They are full grown adult fleas straight from the yard. I understand how flea cycles work and it can take months to break, but I think if this collar worked, the dog wouldn’t pick up more fleas from going outdoors. I also think the cats wouldn’t get the fleas since they’re wearing these collars and they don’t go outside. We’ve had excellent results with Bravecto and we’re going back to it. I also didn’t need to wash and vacuum while my dog was on Bravecto. Nor did my cats need flea meds during that time.
I noticed fleas in my home and within a couple of weeks, I could no longer walk on the carpet without my legs being peppered with them. I had bites, my cats had bites, none of us were comfortable. I tried other flea medications and treatment products but they didn't do anything. The Serresto collars have been on for about a week now, and I can walk on the carpet without a single flea jumping on my feet. I have found dying fleas as well. This product works great and my babies are much more comfortable now. It doesn't seem to irritate them either which was my only concern with the product!
I used to take my cats on walks around our yard to get their energy out. As they got older, we stopped so it wasn't necessary to take them out so I hadn't worried about fleas/needs these collars for a while. Recently, we were adopted by a semi feral cat that has decided he likes to come indoors. I noticed a couple fleas on him despite his regular treatment and decided we would go back to this collar as I never had issues with it before. He hasn't even had it on a month and I found a couple more fleas on him - and as its been cold out, he rarely even goes outside.
I’d be having horrible troubles with fleas this year. They’ve been relentless and my indoor cat somehow got them. For months we had tried everything- flea collars, flea baths, sprays, daily combing, etc. I heard that this was the ONLY flea collar that actually worked, and they’re right! Within 48 hours I haven’t seen a thing on my sweet girl. We can finally cuddle in bed again <3
I have two indoor cats, but we live in apartments and fleas were getting in from neighboring units. I tried literally every single flea treatment under the sun, and within a couple weeks, they always came back. My vet suggested looking into Seresto collars, and I was very hesitant about a collar helping - especially when I saw the price tag... But I decided to give it a go anyway, and I'm SO HAPPY that I did! I put their first Seresto collars on about 2 years ago, and I have never seen another flea since then. They are the only thing that truly work! The initial investment seems expensive, but when you do the math ($63 divided by 8 months of use, you're only paying $7.87 a month for the best flea preventative on the market) Couldn't recommend Seresto collars enough!
There is no flea treatment compared to these collars, it is certainly worth coughing up the money for if you never want to see fleas again. I have been consistently shampooing and combing my cats only to see fleas dwindling, but not disappearing. About 4-6 fleas would come off each of my cats with the first few comb-throughs each day. I put these collars on my two cats last night, and fleas were jumping off within the hour. By today, I’ve combed them both thoroughly, and only found a single, half-dead flea between the two of them. It’s exciting to see my kitties feeling more comfortable. They’ve had an itchy couple of months, I’m so happy they can finally find relief. Thank you, Seresto!
Received 2 collars at the end of October. I vacuum and wash blankets regularly in my house. We have been having a flea problem so I was hopeful these would help, but this time they did not seem to do much after the first few weeks. Starting around Thanksgiving, I noticed my cats were scratching more frequently and had flea dirt in their fur. I started flea combing them and found a few fleas, which I killed. Every week I flea comb them and find more fleas on them which means these collars are not working. One of my cats leaves flea dirt wherever he lays at this point which means this product is not working. The claim of 8 months is nowhere near true when it lasted less than a month for both of my cats. Was hopeful that this would resolve the flea problems, but it hasn't, which has left me quite disappointed. :(
Definitely recommend, had fleas on my cats for about two months and tried removing them with baths, flea combing, and flea killing spray but none of them worked. Put this collar on and within a week there have been zero fleas found in there fur. Make sure to clean the house after putting the collar on because a lot of the fleas jump off the pet and look for a new host. This is a perfect time to vacuum and wash all bedding/clothes.
Just wanted to share my experience. I had a friend come to my house in the beginning of 2022. I knew she had fleas and had sprayed my house with flea spray. My cats had seresto collar on. But as of today 1/6/2023 I am still fighting with the fleas. I've flea bombed my apartment 5 times in this time frame. I'm contently doing laundry and spraying flea killer. If anyone has advice i'll be happy to take it.
This collar really works on my cat except she got it in her mouth and my son saw her and cut the collar so I have to order another one. My fault. She got away from me when I put it on so I let her go thinking it was tight enough but it wasn't. I would not use anything else. It does the job and no side effects.
