Important Information

Fleas rise to the top of your pet's coat as they die, so consider it a triumph if you start seeing more fleas at first, after treating your pet. If you’re still seeing fleas after application, it may be because your pet has picked up new fleas from the environment, which may include other pets, surfaces and outdoor areas. It may take up to 30 days to break the entire flea life cycle. Additionally, you should also treat sources of new fleas (i.e., carpet, yard, etc.) to ensure complete flea control.

8-Month Protection for 9 Lives

Give your cat the long-lasting protection of Seresto. This easy-to-use, non-greasy, odorless collar kills and repels fleas and ticks for eight continuous months with proper use, so your feline has protection from these biting pests. Get the performance you expect from a monthly topical treatment in an economical collar for convenient, effective protection against fleas and ticks.

Continuous Release for Long-Lasting Prevention

With Seresto, fleas and ticks are killed through contact, with no biting required. The active ingredients stored within the collar release in low concentration with daily wear and are distributed over your cats skin and coat from head to tail for effective protection. As the active ingredients wear off over time, the collar continuously replenishes the skin and coat with a new supply, for 8 continuous months.

Why Choose Seresto?

The veterinarian-recommended Seresto collar is non-greasy and helps avoid the inconvenience of applying monthly flea and tick treatments. It's easy to adjust for a secure fit and kills and repels ticks too. This is important because if a flea or tick is repelled, it cannot bite and transmit disease. Plus, the collar is designed with a ratchet-release mechanism and pre-determined breaking point.

Is Seresto the Right Choice for your Cat?

If your cat is always on the go or dislikes topical and oral medications, then the Seresto collar is a great option to help keep them protected. The Seresto collar provides pet owners with a convenient flea and tick preventative option that works continuously for eight months, eliminating the need for monthly reapplications.

Protection Your Pet Can Wear

Seresto brings convenience to every pet owner with lasting 8 month protection against fleas and ticks that's totally wearable. Plus, Seresto works through contact which means fleas and ticks don't have to bite for the active ingredients to work. It's also available without a prescription, so it's just one less step to take care of.

how long until all fleas are gone ?
Answer by ChewyApr 14, 2023

Does this Seresto collar also kill flea eggs?
Answer by ChewyJul 14, 2017
Seresto kills existing fleas within 24 hours, killing and repelling fleas before they lay eggs.

My cat cuddles with me to sleep and occasionally sleeps on my pillow. Is it okay for her to continue to do so once I put the collar on her? It wouldn’t hurt her or myself?
Answer by ChewyMay 05, 2019
It is safe to allow pets to sleep in bed with you while wearing this collar. The active ingredients spread from the site of direct contact over the skin surface, so it is not recommended to continuously touch the collar.

If my cat is cleaning itself and starts to lock the collar is it bad for them
Answer by ChewyAug 09, 2021
When sized properly (snug but loose enough for a finger underneath) the cat will have difficulty licking the collar. The collar is non-toxic but it can cause upset stomach if it were to be licked or bit by your pet. If pieces of the collar were to be ingested it can cause an obstruction so it's best to reach out to a veterinarian and Bayer's medical emergency hotline which is 1-800-422-9874.

After four months, still finding fleas.

I've used the Seresto collars for years and never had a problem until this recent purchase. It's been four months and I'm still finding fleas on the cats. At first I chalked this up to user error and tightened the collars, but apparently wasn't user error. What are the odds of all three collars I purchased being duds. Disappointing for the cost, especially since I'll have to treat all three cats AGAIN.

Good product

I purchased these for all my pets, 2 dogs 8 cats so it was a pretty penny. I works great no one got sick from them, and I have older and younger pets. but it's been 6 months and I notice some fleas now. So they don't seem to last the full 8 months. But I will buy this again

resistance developing

A couple years ago, when my apt got infested with fleas, these collars were amazing! They worked so well! But this year I notice that the fleas are developing resistance. That's to be expected really, but I was still surprised to see it so soon. I'll use a different pesticide on the cats next year.

Quality

I have always used the Seresto collar for both of m cats. I purchased 3 of them and I was extremely dissapointed. all 3 of the collars keep coming loose and do not stay on the cats. My newest addition actually got his mouth stuck in the collar and couldnt get out of it. I will not be buying them again. they are not break away and luckily he is fine because I was home and saw it happen. Super dissapointed in how bad the quality has gotten with this product.

Bad Reaction

Cat had a very bad reaction. Scarring and hair loss around the collar site coupled with extreme lethargy. Took her to the vet and she should be ok, but she wouldn't have been if we didn't catch it sooner. No the collar was not too tight.

Ineffective

I have been using these collars for a long time on all my cats. They have always been top notch. This collar is doing absolutely nothing to keep fleas off my indoor cat. He has a flea allergy and now we have to take our poor boy to the vet

Didn’t work :(

I’ve heard great things about this collar over the years, but didn’t have to deal with fleas until this year. I bathed my cat, combed him, and let him fully dry before putting the collar on him, and he has fleas again. I had to take the collar off and resort to the traditional flea drops. My aunts dog is in the same boat with the collar. :(

sick cat

My cat got really sick after using this collar. I then did some research and found information about how the collar was tied to illness and death in pets. Definitely recommend dojng your research before purchasing. I feel so guilty and sad for using this on my cat.

Never worry about fleas or ticks!! Our cat loves to be outdoors. We live in the country and our home is surrounded with woods. Trees and underbrush. There is wildlife living in these woods so there are plenty of ticks everywhere. So Kitty is exposed to ticks and fleas. Kitty loves to gone inside in the late evening. To eat and rest. He likes to spend time in my lap at night. No worry about fleas or ticks! The Seresto Collar works !! Wouldn’t want to be without it!

This flea collar really works

We've been using a flea collar and FL drops on our cats. We were inundated with fleas. Someone suggested we try Seresto and so glad they did. No more fleas, no more scratching, no more flea dander. Very happy with this product!
