Active Ingredients: Flumethrin 4.5%, Imidacloprid 10.0%.
Use only one collar per animal. Fit collar around your pet's neck, allowing for 2 fingers to fit between the collar and your pet's neck to ensure a comfortable, yet snug, fit. Once collar is properly fitted, cut off any excess collar measuring 1" or longer. The collar should be worn continuously for the 8 month protection period. Check periodically and adjust fit if necessary, especially when puppies are rapidly growing. Keep the collar in the bag and in the outer packaging until use. Replace the collar after 8 months for optimal tick and flea protection.
Water Resistance: It is unnecessary to remove the collar before immersing your pet in water. Seresto remains effective following a shampoo treatment, swimming or exposure to rain or sunlight. In order to maintain an 8 month duration, pets must not be bathed more than once a month. For pets that swim once a month or more, the control duration is reduced to five months for fleas and seven months for ticks.

Fleas are very hardy pests that are quite capable of hitching rides on a variety of mammals. Wild animals or feral pets traveling through the environment may be a source for a pet’s exposure.Fleas may be brought to the house by: * You – attached to clothing, luggage, dog blankets, etc. * Your pet – any time your pet steps outside your house, they are potentially exposed to fleas, especially in areas where there are other animals. * Stray or homeless cats and dogs – since these animals are not being cared for, they are easy targets for fleas. A single feral cat walking through your backyard even just one time may drop many flea eggs into the grass or under shrubs. * Wildlife – particularly raccoons and opossums. These animals typically aren’t seen very often, because they are active at night. A single opossum can carry as many as 1,000 adult fleas! An opossum walking through your backyard even just one time can drop many flea eggs into the grass or under shrubs as they pass through. * Non-treated pets in the household – most dogs are treated for fleas and ticks. Often, the cats in the household are not, especially if they are indoor only cats. * Non-treated pets in the neighborhood – you may be vigilant about treating your pets for fleas, but your neighbor(s) may not.
Inside the unique polymer matrix of Seresto are two active ingredients:
Imidacloprid has been used in products for years to control flea infestations.
Flumethrin effectively repels and kills ticks.Flumethrin works together with imidacloprid to provide dual action against fleas and ticks. No other treatment has this combination of ingredients. The active ingredients spread from the site of direct contact over the skin surface of the cat or dog.*Sustained release technology*Seresto works similarly to a monthly topical, but as the active ingredients wear off over time, a new supply is continuously replenished in low concentrations. The active ingredients spread from the site of direct contact over the skin surface.Bayer's polymer matrix technology is designed to slowly and continuously release the active ingredients for eight months, a duration that makes it clearly different from other flea and tick collars.
Seresto is water resistant. The active ingredients of Seresto are contained within the Bayer Polymer Matrix, making it water-resistant. Therefore it is unnecessary to remove the collar before the pet is immersed in water. Seresto remains effective following a shampoo treatment, swimming, or after exposure to rain or sunlight. Under normal conditions, effectiveness lasts for eight months. In order to maintain an 8-month duration, dogs must not be bathed more than once per month. For dogs that swim once a month or more, the control duration is reduced to five months for fleas and seven months for ticks.
Because some pet owners may be concerned that a cat or small dog could get stuck while wearing a collar, Seresto is designed with a safety release mechanism. In the unlikely event of the cat being trapped, the cat's own strength is sufficient to widen the collar to allow for quick release.A hard pull causes the ratchet-release mechanism to allow a widening of the collar. The small dog and cat collars are equipped with a predetermined breaking point. A harder pull triggers the breaking of the collar at this point.
There is no expiration date required on the packaging by the EPA for this product. The product should be kept in its original packaging and stored as directed on the label.

Chewy is an authorized retailer of Seresto® products, which means we purchase the products we sell directly from Elanco, the maker of Seresto®. If you would like to verify the legitimacy of your collar, call Elanco’s veterinary team at 1-800-255-6826.
Fleas rise to the top of your pet's coat as they die, so consider it a triumph if you start seeing more fleas at first, after treating your pet. If you’re still seeing fleas after application, it may be because your pet has picked up new fleas from the environment, which may include other pets, surfaces and outdoor areas. It may take up to 30 days to break the entire flea life cycle. Additionally, you should also treat sources of new fleas (i.e., carpet, yard, etc.) to ensure complete flea control.
Help your dog lead the pack with long-lasting 8 month protection from Elanco. This easy-to-use, non-greasy, odorless collar kills and repels fleas and ticks for eight continuous months with daily wear, and can even help treat and control sarcoptic mange and lice. Get the performance you expect from a monthly treatment in an economical collar for convenient, effective protection.
With Seresto, fleas and ticks are killed and repelled through contact, with no biting required. The active ingredients stored within the collar release in low concentrations with daily wear and distribute over your dog's skin and coat from head to tail for effective coverage. As the active ingredients wear off over time, the collar continuously replenishes the skin and coat with a new supply, for 8 continuous months.
The veterinarian-recommended Seresto collar is non-greasy and helps avoid the inconvenience of applying monthly treatments. If fleas and ticks are repelled, they cannot bite and transmit dangerous diseases. It also helps to treat and control sarcoptic mange and kill lice. Seresto also doesn't interfere with your dog's regular collar and can easily be worn simultaneously.
Seresto brings convenience to every pet owner with lasting 8 month protection against fleas and ticks. Plus, Seresto works through contact which means fleas and ticks don't have to bite for the active ingredients to work. It's also available without a prescription, so it's just one less step to take care of.

I bought the seresto collars when they were on sale. The expiration date is still good. I have noticed fleas on my Maltese. I have not seen any on my border collie and poodle. However, I do see them scratching and if the Maltese has fleas…they probably do as well. I have also now noticed fleas in my home. To say I am not happy is an understatement!
I had initially bought seresto collars from my vet and they worked great for all my dogs and cats. When it came time to replace them, I ordered from Chewy. The ones I received from Chewy did not work at all. I’m not sure if they are defective or if they are not legitimate seresto collars. Regardless, it was a huge waste of money…and now I have fleas in my home.
I have bought these for 4 years now and I love them they are well worth it. The other dogs in my building seem to be bothered by fleas and ticks all the time with other methods. I will never buy any other product for my fur baby
We have been using these flea and tick collars for several years now and love them! They are very effective and do their job extremely well with no side effects, contrary to what you can read about them. Their cost at Chewy is very competitive and they arrive super fast and are well packed with excellent instructions. Highly recommend this product.
I bought 3 collars, 2 for my small dogs and 1 for my cat. My poor dogs still have fleas after I have treated home, and bathed, and given my dogs capstar. For the cost of these collars I accept better results
LOve it love it my dogs were suffering from fleas the confortis was no longer working for them , my son told me about the Seresto flea collars I ordered from Chewy was the best thing I had done in a while with in two day I had all the fleas under control I have 6 dogs now my sister passed away so I now have her dogs so I have a crew and needed them collars bad, I also brought the spray so I could spray there doggie beds it works and I have them on reorder in 8 months Thanks Chewy
Even after my dog had this on for two months I still found fleas on her. I have used a seresto collar before that I purchased from pet supplies plus and did not have this problem.
I used to buy these for my pets and never had a problem but recently that seem to not worth much longer than a month before my dog and cats had fleas. I haven’t spotted any text but they haven’t been outside much. I’m assuming the fleas either came from another pet at the vet or maybe one of the mice the cats found in the basement. Either way it’s too much money for it not to work for fleas so I’ll never be using them again. Sad.
I buy these collars every year from chewy for my 2 dogs and they have always worked great, but this time I bought them and I don't know if they changed the formula in them or if I just got 2 bad collars but they are not working at all. I even gave them extra time to work because they usually only take a day or 2 to start killing off the fleas but this time my poor dogs still have fleas and it's been at least 2 months of wearing the collars. They just are not working and I'm very disappointed and frustrated. I spent $100 on 2 collars and this time my money was wasted and I'm spending more on shampoos and things to try and help. I would buy new ones to see if these ones were just a bad batch but I just can't afford it right now, so I'm out money and my dogs are still miserable.
I found this product several years ago after my dog brought flees into our house and infested my 3 indoor-only cats. It was a nightmare trying to get the flees off my pets and out of my house, but once I did, I needed to find an effective peoduct to use to keep them off the dog. After reading many reviews of this product and hearing some horror stories of pets who mysteriously died after their owners used these collars, I was initially scared and skeptical. But after doing some further research and speaking to my vet, I chose to use this flee & tick collar. I have zero regrets. It has worked reliably year after year and kept all my pets safe and healthy. I cannot recommend this product enough. I encourage anybody who may be skeptical or fearful about it to discuss it with their veterinarian.
