Hours of enjoyment
My boy, Thor, loves this. It stimulates his foraging instinct as well as gives him an extra toy to occupy his time while I'm away. Every day I go out there and I have to fish it out of a hole or from being wedged under a fence. I have not seen him but I know he's rolling it all over the place. Sometimes I go out there and there are still treats in it so I know it is challenging for him. Good purchase!
PERFECT toy for our horses!
Ordered as a toy for our horses to entertain them out in their pasture. After adding few treats and a couple handfuls, they were absolutely obsessed. Watching them play and figure out how to get the treats out is so much fun! I'll most likely have to order a second one, so each horse could have their own.
This was a gift to help relieve boredom. It took our mule about a day to figure out what it was all about. She now nudges the ball around with her nose and eats the trail of treats that fall out
Absolutely love it!
My horses absolutely love it and it’s great for the paddock with some pellets in it ;)
A toy to add interest to my horses' afternoons
I put a scoop of pellets in this ball, then toss it in where my four minis are wandering around. Even the senior knows what it it. The funny thing is now one of them pushes it out under the gate when it is empty. Love the choice of colors.
I love this and my horses love it. I put saddle snacks in it and some that are larges to make it harder for the treats to fall out. It is easy to put the treats in and unfortunately the treats come out easy as well, hence the reason I put larger ones and different shape ones in it to make it harder. The horses love it but it is pretty loud when they are rolling it around rattling the treats in it.
Wouldn't buy again, but it's ok.
Easy to fill. Seems to be well constructed, but; rather light weight, so he tosses it out of the tub that contains his treat ball so the pellets aren't scattered all over the ground. i prefer he keep it in the tub, so the pellets aren't on the ground, reducing the risk of dirt intake if he has to pick the pellets off the ground. his older, different brand, treat ball stays in the tub.
Eli Waits for His Toy
Our stallion waits in his paddock until my husband gets the treat ball and pitches it out in the grassy pasture. At that point, Eli takes off in pursuit. I'd call that incredible interest and horsey fun.
Hard to get treats out
Have tried several different treats in this ball -- none of them come out when my horse pushes that ball around. I can hardly get them back out -- they get caught on the inner lip.
It's exactly like it looks in the picture, but I didn't feel the quality was as good as it could be. I fear that if it would dent in easily if they pawed at it or tired to bite it. . The hole is pretty good size and the treats fall out very easily when I rolled it around the lot trying to get my horses attention. It takes no effort to get the apple treats to fall out. I would never put feed or anything smaller in it. Just me but I feel like it would all pour out at one time once your horse figures out how to tilt it. However My horse who is always curious about everything has no interest at all in it. I have left it in his lot for days and it just lays in the same spot. I gave it a three because I didn't feel it was of the quality it looked in the picture and how quickly the treats came out. I would not buy it again.
