FAQ

How Does Simparica Work?

Simparica is a great tasting chewable tablet given orally once a month. It travels in your dog's blood to safely deliver persistent continuous protection against fleas and ticks from day 1 to day 35.

Why protect against fleas and ticks?

Tick-borne diseases represent a widespread and growing public health hazard to dogs (and their human companions), causing debilitating illness and even death. It only takes one tick to spread disease, so continuous protection is critical to help reduce the risk of infection.

Likewise, it only takes a single "pregnant" flea to start an infestation on a dog or in a home. And although fleas are largely perceived as a mere nuisance, they too, can pose health risks to pets and humans.

    Customer service

My vet recommended simparica for my lab. When chewy tried to contact them for verification there was a problem with communication. Chewy tried to get verification numerous times. I really like the vet I have, but they seem reluctant for me to buy from chewy. Finally, through numerous phone calls, chewy was finally able to get the problem solved and the vet's approval. Chewy 's customer service was great. Thank you for getting the problems solved.

    The best for the best

We gave Dixie Blu our 99lb black lab Simparica right up until she passed away June 9th. It was the best medicine to do the job of keeping her tick and flea free. Now shes free of all worldly aches and pains enjoying a heavenly afterlife. What a loving sweet dog Dixie Blu was! She will be missed by all who gave her a pat on the head and a chicken jerky treat! Thank you "Team Chewy" for being a part of a wonderful dog life! John H

    Wish I knew

I have found out that this med in some dogs leads them to have seizures. I have been giving this product to my dog for a while now. And as he has gotten older he has started having seizures.. we went through the whole thing of food he eats, treats, and now he is on Keppra a powerful anti seizure med.. I could say more but it is buyer beware with pets and meds.

    Bad reaction

Gave first dose to 138# Great Dane on Monday night and by 4:30 Tuesday morning he was not ok. Terrible tremors and loss of control of his body. Unwilling to get up. Cries when going potty. Scared to even try. It’s Thursday and he is still not ok. Do not use!!

    Happy So Far

    By on

I only recently went from a topical flea and tick treatment to this tablet. The oily mess I didn’t have to deal with is reason enough to give this product 5 stars but seems to be working and has had no adverse effects on my German Shepherds. I also had some issues with the purchase and my vet but the pharmacy was super helpful and so easy to work with. Thank you “Aunt Tess”...AKA Tressa. What a gem you are!
