I love this product but it is expensive and my vet will not send order to chewy they want you to order thru them I have to get a prescription and I don't have a fax so I have to pay for that and the gas so there goes any savings not sure what to do
My basset hound just turned a year old 3 days ago, and she has been on Simpirico Trio since she was 8 weeks old and I have NEVER seen a flea or tick on her! This stuff work GREAT!!
My vet recommended that I try Simparica Trio in lieu of the two separate monthly medications I had previously given my dog Winslow. The price (with a 30% off coupon I had received from Chewy) made the offer inviting and I am confident he will be protected all month long.
We recently switched to this at the recommendation of our vet, we used to do two different medications for heart worm and flea/tick prevention. I looked into it to see others experiences, the side effects, warnings. It was overall highly rated and many people had no issues with giving this medication to their dog. My dog has been taking it for almost two years now, she has never had any issues or side effects. She has tolerated the medication well and takes it easily with or without a pill pocket. I’d recommend this medication if there is a veterinarian recommendation and supervision to ensure your dog is okay to take this, as every dog (like humans) are different with medication/side effects/precautions.
My cockapoo was a tick magnet with other oral medications. I’m extremely satisfied with Simparica Trio because he hasn’t had any ticks on him since we started this medication about 2 years ago. No side effects and he always gets a clean bill of health from his vet. I do have to crush the pill and mix it in his The Farmers Dog food because he will not eat this pill, even if I put it in a pill pocket. Love the convenience and pricing Chewy provides.
Like so many Medicines in the US this is WAY overpriced. Taking advantage of people is in no way admirable. I guess we’ll end up buying THIS from another country as well.
The "palatable liver flavor" advertised by Simparica does not appeal to my dog. Nothing I have tried to mask the smell/flavor gets her to eat it willingly, so I shove the pill down her gullet every month (fortunately, she doesn't fight me or clamp down like our last dog did!). But so far we have seen no adverse effects, though the multiple reviews mentioning such problems are certainly concerning. That said, this is such a convenient product -- worm, flea, and tick control in one monthly dose -- that we will keep using it. Chewy makes it easy and affordable to order!
Yes, Simpatico Trio is the best. I took my Yorkie to the groomer, and she found a tick on his back leg that had died. It did make a red ring around his leg however, he did not get infected by the tick. I also really haven't taken him to where there is long grass or fields of grass. So he got that tick just from walking locally. Please, protect your beloved animals dogs with this product. Good luck
I read all the reviews and thought "my purebred with no family history of any health problems, won't have an issue" but she had a seizure this morning after two months taking this medicine. After confirming with breeder that there is no family history, my vet and I believe it was caused by this medicine! Save your baby, and yourself, the trauma!
Chewy contacted our vet for Bailey’s prescription and shipped it directly to us. The whole process was super easy and the price was less than the vet was charging us.
