What does the “plant based fragrance” consist of? Is it safe for cats?

The plant based fragrance is derived from citrus pulp (the white stringy stuff in citrus fruit) and terpenes, the essential oils of plants, leftover by manufacturing in the pulp and paper industries which would otherwise be discarded as waste. The ingredients are then distilled into the aldehydes and keytones that make up their fragrance. This process is considered to be more “green” than the use of essential oils, because it utilizes what would otherwise be discarded as industrial waste and gives it a second life as an up-cycled fragrance.
Can it be used in any carpet cleaner machine without damaging the machine?

Could I use this in the washing machines be for urine-soaked rugs?

Skout's Honor products are not affected by temperature or interaction with other chemicals, so they can be used in a variety of non-traditional ways without compromising performance, including the washing machine. We typically recommend using the same amount of product recommended by the machine's manufacturer.

Worked well but discolored light carpet

This product seemed to work well at removing cat barf spots and old dog urine spots, but it did discolor (yellow) the off-white/beige carpet. Used in Bissell SpotBot cleaning machine. Pleasant scent. Would use again on darker carpet.

Didn't work for us on cat urine

Waited for this to come in as we are having peeing issues with one of our cats and the spays work amazingly well, but this did not. Couch smelled just like it did before, had to go back with the sprays to kill the smell, wasted my time cleaning the carpet with the machine.

Disappointing

I really wanted to like this product. I have an Italian Greyhound, who simply refuses to go potty outside. So safe to say, my carpets need a weekly shampooing. I’ve used this product twice now, and my carpets still smell like dog pee. This was a problem I had before when I was using the Bissell’s carpet cleaning solution.

Works well, recommended

This carpet solution is great. We clean our carpets A LOT having a senior dog with kidney disease and this works well and removes pee stains. I’m very sensitive to scents and this does not bother me. Leaves a clean feeling on the carpet and doesn’t feel sticky

Works goid

I used it in my shampooer (Bissell Pet Revolution Pro) you don’t need a lot, it will foam for sure. Took the stains out with no problem. The product itself didn’t smell. Didn’t erase the smell from my carpet. Other than ripping it from the floor, nothing will. Scent is a lost cause for me. It did remove the stain, clean my light tan carpet with no problem.

Doesn’t smell great or does what it’s supposed to

Pretty bummed about this product the smell wasn’t the best nor did it stop my dog from peeing on the rug again.

Best Carpet Shampoo

I’ve had a dozen or more senior foster greyhounds over the last 12 years. Needless to say, my carpets have taken a lot of accidents. I’ve tried every carpet cleaner out there and when I used this yesterday, I couldn’t believe the difference. While there is still a slight “shadow” of the accidents, Skout’s Honor did what it said it would do, even on the 12 year old accidents. I’ve thrown out all the other products and replaced with Skout. I’m a believer !!

far below expectations

My beloved brand to wash carpet after kids and pets is out of stock here, so I wanted to try something new. It doesn't rinse off well, the carpets smell horrible after this product. It does remove stains well, but somehow my carpets do not look good anymore. The product leaves some kind of sticky film, no matter how little I put. I try to always wash off with water after it and not to use a lot of product. I am not happy and am going to buy something else in future.
