Sleepypod Clickit Sport Dog Safety Harness

Materials and workmanship are high quality, but everything else is poor. Design, directions, construction (straps must twist to put on properly), uncomfortable, putting on, attaching to car...everything. Furthermore, it SMASHED the dog right up against the seat...does not allow the seat belt to move out of the locked position. Poor dog was so uncomfortable, I had to take it off. I used one from another company years ago that was MUCH easier in every respect. The crash-testing may be important for a large dog, but if you have a smaller dog, the weight of the dog is not going to break the straps as the dog hurls forward/sideways in the event of an accident. I did so much research on the best harness for my trip from MI to VA with my MeatHead and I couldn't even get him buckled in the seat belt, and we've used others when he was smaller. I don't think this harness works for the broad chested dogs like the Bully. I measured properly and it fit, but the top straps were down on his sides so the seat belt had to go up and over his back; it just didn't work. I'll figure out how to return

I looked for a safety harness, price didn't matter, that had high safety scores. This was the one. ONLY my 100lb goldendoodle can't wear it in the car. He is just too long to be able to sit comfortably. The seat belt in the car does not have the give it would take for Hunter to move. He is totally uncomfortable. So this is going back. I also ordered a medium for our newest member. She is 30lbs now and I'm having trouble with her as she has found a way to get tangled. sigh.... Also after reviewing several videos and checking reviews of the Clickit, her straps are sewn in upside down! Their QC is not very good. So I'm hoping now I'll have it on correctly. These harnesses work great. Dogs are restrained yet able to sit or lay down comfortably. This is one of the only harnesses that performed well in crash testing. Look for the results on their website and on the website of non profit animal group. Bought one for each dog, who travel a lot as therapy dogs. Driver not distracted and dogs safe.

I purchased this product because I was moving from Nebraska to Ohio and needed a safe way to restrain my dog in the car. I ordered the black colored harness. It is not easy to adjust, but fortunately one of my dog trainers who has the same vest was able to adjust it for me. I have a 17 pound miniature schnauzer/cockapoo mix and ordered the small size. With the correct adjustment it fit perfectly. He is able to stand or sit in it when it is hooked up to the seatbelt and seems to like it. He slept a large part of the car ride. One thing I noticed was that my trainer fit it a little loose. I bought the Sleepypod harness to keep my pup safe for an 1800 mile trip west. Only problem is that she would not have anything to do with it; in fact, she successfully made her way out of it. She is used to being able to stretch out on the back seat and I guess the stiff nature of the harness made her feel more like she was being restrained to the seat and punished. So it may be ok and a great product for others, just not my dog.

Though my pup is not the happiest when I am trying to pin her to the back seat, I know she's very safe with it on and would not shift around during a car ride.

We are preparing for our first long family car trip since getting our puppy, and we were struggling with logistics of how to add a crate to our cargo area with bags, with kids, with other dog-essential gear, etc. The Sleepypod Clickit Sport is a life-safer-- it is easy to put on, easy to adjust, and Oberon likes it just fine-- I think he likes it better than the crate, and it means that we can snuggle with him while riding. I love that it is crash-tested and it is well-made and bright and cheery. We're really happy with this purchase. He is 40 lbs and we got the Medium, based on the measurement of his chest. I travel around by car a lot. My sleepypod harness give me peace of mind. Easy on and off. But the best part is that my four legged friend is safe and happy

Fits well. Easy to use. Saw a documentary that said this was the best one in a crash test. Hope I never have to find out if it works in that way or not! :)
