Description

Safety is a non-negotiable for you and your pup, so ensure maximum protection and comfort wherever you go with the Sleepypod Clickit Sport Dog Safety Harness. This next-generation safety harness uses a unique, patent pending Infinity Loop design in combination with an energy absorbing padded vest to distribute and reduce damaging forces in an accident, without any additional hardware or straps. Because it uses three points of contact, it helps reduce forward and lateral movements if the car stops suddenly, protecting your pup’s entire torso in all directions. Pet parents everywhere can feel safe when they travel with their pal, because it’s also crash-tested with the same requirements used for child safety restraints. Plus, you can take it from the road to the park as it doubles as the perfect walking harness. Strength-tested and durably built with luggage-quality ballistic nylon and automotive-grade materials, it’s specially made for everyday use for travel-happy pups.

  • Super safe must-have

This is a great product. It is one of two harnesses that is certified safe. I know it's expensive and some dogs don't like to be constrained in cars. I don't care if my dog would prefer to roam around. She doesn't mind this harness though. She wasn't a fan at first but now she gets excited when I pull it out and sits nicely as I buckle her in. You would never look at a car seat for your kid and say "well it's 70 bucks and they like to run around in the back seat". When you look into it some other harnesses have been crash tested but they failed (I'm personally shocked they still sell them). There is a reason some of the cheaper harnesses are cheaper. They aren't the same thing. The first car This is a great product. It is one of two harnesses that is certified safe. I know it's expensive and some dogs don't like to be constrained in cars. • Very good quality

This Sleepy Pod harness is just what I was looking for. Something to keep my dog safe, as well as keep him from roaming around in the car. The harness is made with high quality material. It takes a little getting used to for dog parent and the dog. When you buckle them in, they have to be in just the right position so you can fit the seatbelt through the straps but also make sure the seatbelt does not lock. I will be honest, I was severely annoyed the first few times I put him in the car and buckled him in. It just takes practice. I would certainly recommend this product to my friends!

  • safety harness works well in car but only OK for walks

    By on

This sleepypod safety harness is a bit stiff on the belly and because it has no cross straps it is not the best for walks. Also the reflective side straps (used to run seat belt through when in the car) kind of "poof" out on the sides when walking. Maybe its because as a Shiba Inu, she is rather short and stocky. Anyway, I think it will be good in the car but I might carry another harness for when we get to our destination.

  • Quality Harness

Our 9-month old Goldendoodle adapted very quickly to the Sleepypod safety harness. We introduced it to her on her first long distance road trip--3 hours each way. We were delighted that she was so comfortable in it--able to both sit and lay down throughout the trip. And we were comfortable knowing she was secure. Happy tails, happy trails!

  • Worth the Price

I purchased this harness at the recommendation of a friend who has the same breed of dog as I do. She had used it on many long car trips and raved about it, so I thought I'd give it a try despite the price. It is very high quality and seems extremely safe! It's also very lightweight and wearing it doesn't bother my dog at all, which was not the case with other harnesses I had tried. She hasn't been able to get out of it when we use it as a walking harness. I had to contact the manufacturer's customer service department and they were super helpful. Overall, I think it's a great product and would recommend it: The reasons I'm not giving it 5 stars: 1. It doesn't have a d-ring in front to help with pulling on walks (our trainer said it would be "perfect" if it had that) 2. It is difficult to adjust correctly. I have to watch the video every.single.time. 3. The neck straps loosen for no apparent reason, so I have to adjust it a lot. The chest straps are fine, though. 4. The step-in design is difficult to use if you have an active, squirmy dog like I do. Over time, I think she'll calm down and it will get easier (we've only had it for two months), but it is sometimes a bit of a struggle to get her in it. … more

  • Great safety harness, and works for walking too

    By on

I heard that Sleepypod is the only car harness to PASS crash tests. Many others say "crash tested"... but didn't actually pass (very sneaky). Our pup is (guess) 8 mo old, 32 lbs, 22" girth, some kind of border collie mix. The medium starts at 22.5 inch girth, so I got the medium because if anything, she'll grow more. She got used to it very quickly, and I may use it on some walks/ in busy areas as a harness to take the pull off of her neck, in addition to a car harness. Sleepypod also released a newer version, compatible with their packs (coming soon?) that's not available (yet) on Chewy, and is more expensive.

  • Quality issues

    By on

We've had our Clickit Sport for about 2 weeks now and the reflector strips are already coming off. It's also super hard in the car for one person to get the seatbelt through the loops and get the belt buckled, unless your dog is perfectly still like the dog in the video...NOT like most dogs who wriggle around when being secured in the seat.

  • Best car safety

    By on

Well made. Be sure to fit it properly. Can call company for help if needed. Far more secure and easier to put seatbelt thru openings then other brands. Can see why it's rated best safety seat belt and worth the $$$.

  • Well made, crash tested and certified

I bought this harness so that my 20 lb. rescued boy could ride with me in my convertible with the top down. The harness is well made: the breast plate is heavily padded and is engineered to make use of the seat belt. One of my photos shows how the seat belt slides through the harness on the dog's back. This harness is much more heavy duty than the regular harnesses used for walking a dog although it certainly can be used for that purpose. The Sleepypod keeps him stable and secure in the event of sharp turns or stops in a vehicle. This harness is heavy duty to serve a very serious purpose. As usual, I made the adjustment without first watching which took me twice as long. It is not a big deal, but getting the proper fit of the straps is all part of the safety factor. … more

  • Peace of mind

This is a sturdy harness that keeps my mini Aussie restrained in the back seat. He can sit or lie down and does not mind putting it on for car rides. It is definitely worth the money for me to know my pet is secure when we are in the car
