Description

Safety is a non-negotiable for you and your pup, so ensure maximum protection and comfort wherever you go with the Sleepypod Clickit Sport Dog Safety Harness. This next-generation safety harness uses a unique, patent pending Infinity Loop design in combination with an energy absorbing padded vest to distribute and reduce damaging forces in an accident, without any additional hardware or straps. Because it uses three points of contact, it helps reduce forward and lateral movements if the car stops suddenly, protecting your pup’s entire torso in all directions. Pet parents everywhere can feel safe when they travel with their pal, because it’s also crash-tested with the same requirements used for child safety restraints. Plus, you can take it from the road to the park as it doubles as the perfect walking harness. Strength-tested and durably built with luggage-quality ballistic nylon and automotive-grade materials, it’s specially made for everyday use for travel-happy pups.

  • Love this harness!!

    By on

I’ve owned Sleepypod harnesses for years and love this new design. It is a lot easier to put on and just requires a seatbelt to fasten your dog in. My dogs don’t like walking long distances in it which is why I gave it 4 stars versus 5. I primarily use it for car rides when going to the vet, groomer etc. I bought a small for both of my dogs and they are 22 lbs. I can’t imagine how it would fit on a smaller dog.

  • It works but the dog doesn’t like

    By on

You definitely need to go on Utube to figure how to attach it to the seat belt. Took awhile as my seat belt kept locking so cldn’t feed it thru. When my dog laid down her arm was able to come thru. Made it tighter on her. It helped but she didn’t look comfortable like the dogs shown in the ad. I feel it will work if I get in an accident so guess I would rather the dog be slightly uncomfortable but alive. For what I paid, I thought it would hook up/fit better.

  • Very bulky for small dogs

    By on

This harness was only tested and is only effective for dogs at 10 lbs or more. Smaller dogs will need the enclosed pod. This harness will pull small dogs at the low end of the weight limit to the back of the car seat and they may need more time to get used to this harness and the restraint but you can't beat the peace of mind for the additional safety for your pupper.

  • Great Product and worth the price

    By on

Have used these twice, easy to adjust and put on my girls. Keeps them in one spot in the back, makes its much easier to deal with each girl. Where as before had both girls right there trying to get out at the same time. They are able to either sit up or lay down. Hopefully will never have to learn whether they are truely crash proof. But I am glad I made this purchase. Chewy customer service is alway top notch, they truely go above and beyond what is required. Prices are great and products are shipped quickly! Chewy is my first choice for doggie supplies, will always shop here.

  • Wonderful Safety Harness

    By on

I bought this for my 7 month old Wheaten Terrier. At approximately 25lbs, the medium fits her perfectly. She seems very comfortable with it on, sitting in the back seat or lying down. The seatbelt easily slides through the back loops to secure her. She loves to go in the car and this gives me much more confidence in the event of an accident.

  • second generation sleepypod

First, wish I had ordered this item from Chewy first. I ordered the first one from another company who did not tell me that the sizing had changed from the original product. Anyway, I ordered what I wanted from Chewy once I realized that they carried this product also. I have owned sleepypod clickit for 5 years (the first offering from the company) and even though I have never had to test its claims in a crash, I do feel that it is the safest harness/seatbelt out there. When I needed to buy a new one, I was skeptical about the seat belt unit---worried that it would lock immediately and not allow my dog to sit up or lie down. The figure 8 design works really well with the seatbelt design on all cars and does not lock except when it needs to (I hope). Monte has a little harder time sitting up from a lying position but he sees willing to do the extra work to see out the window. It is an easy harness to put on and as with the first one, very sturdy material. I would recommend this product. Oh, my dog loves to sit in the passenger seat which made protecting him even more critical for me. … more

  • Safety at its Best!

    By on

I researched this harness online and knew it was rated #1. However, it fits my puppy (standard) poodle perfectly. What's even better is that it was easy to secure her in the car with my seatbelts. She sits perfectly and safely while I drive...mission accomplished!

  • Super safe must-have

This is a great product. It is one of two harnesses that is certified safe. I know it's expensive and some dogs don't like to be constrained in cars. I don't care if my dog would prefer to roam around. She doesn't mind this harness though. She wasn't a fan at first but now she gets excited when I pull it out and sits nicely as I buckle her in. You would never look at a car seat for your kid and say "well it's 70 bucks and they like to run around in the back seat". When you look into it some other harnesses have been crash tested but they failed (I'm personally shocked they still sell them). There is a reason some of the cheaper harnesses are cheaper. They aren't the same thing. The first car This is a great product. It is one of two harnesses that is certified safe. I know it's expensive and some dogs don't like to be constrained in cars. • Clickit Dog Harness

    By on

My dog clearly was in the category for the size Small harness. His chest measures 17 inches. It is a bit loose on him and the first time we used it he was able to wiggle right out of it. It's too bad because we had high hopes for it. I plan on returning it.

  • safety harness works well in car but only OK for walks

    By on

This sleepypod safety harness is a bit stiff on the belly and because it has no cross straps it is not the best for walks. Also the reflective side straps (used to run seat belt through when in the car) kind of "poof" out on the sides when walking. Maybe its because as a Shiba Inu, she is rather short and stocky. Anyway, I think it will be good in the car but I might carry another harness for when we get to our destination.
