    Dead mouse in box

By Suzanne on Jan 8, 2021

Purchased this based on recommendation. Our 1st 10lb box was loved by our guinea pigs even though there were a lot of pieces they would not eat. We just got our second order a week or so ago which I went with the 20lb box. Well last night about an inch or two deep into the box my 10 year old daughter found a dead flattened mouse in a clump of hay. I totally get this is grown out in a field and nature happens however there should be a better quality control process done so a 10 year old girl does not need to see this right before bed. I am glad she was smart enough to know something was not right and did not just throw it in the piggies cage. The actual hay is fresh and green.

    Dead Roach in the box....

By Cynthia on Jan 15, 2021

The hay was good, but when my pet almost finished the whole box, I found a dead and dried roach in the box. Really disgusted me. The box of the hay was put on the 2nd floor of the hallway and I do not have a roach problem in my house, so I am very sure it is not a problem on my side. This supplier needs a better quality control indeed. I reported the problem to Chewy and Chewy immediately refunded me for this box of the hay. I appreciate what Chewy did.

We've tried it all, this is the best of the best

By Heatherlynn on Dec 29, 2020

This is not only my bun's favorite hay it's also the best for the digestion. Every other brand or cut seems to leave them with small misshapen droppings that cause me so much stress. We're done trying to find a cheaper hay. Now I just make sure as little as possible is wasted

    Amazing quality

By Fresh on Nov 6, 2020

My rabbit Mia is sort of picky with her hay, and we tried buying many types that either didn't sit well or that she just didn't really like. The buns gets excited to eat her normal hay as she would with treats. The hay comes in a nice durable box and has lots of fluffy hay tops. It looks fresh and you'd be surprised how much hay is in there! Worth the price, and it keeps my rabbit happy and healthy!

    Long hard stems

By vicki on Dec 12, 2020

Very disappointed. My entire box was nothing but long hard sticks. It was green on the top but in the middle it was brown. To pay that kind of money for something your piggies won't touch. Very disappointed.

    Excellent Quality Throughout

By Izzy on Oct 28, 2020

The entire bale is excellent quality first cut timothy hay. My rabbits love it, and it arrives fresh, green, and fragrant. In some areas it is quite long, so for smaller pets, smaller cages, or smaller hay racks I would recommend a smaller quantity (I purchased the 50lb box) and perhaps some sharp scissors, but this is definitely top-notch hay.

    I’m so thankful for Chewy!

By JackieRabsMom on Sep 16, 2020

My mid to older age bun had a quick, huge turn around in her digestion system, which was causing her to become very ill. After reading a lot online and calling a vet, I was told that Timothy hay was necessary for her diet. I’ve fed her Tropical Carnival for 10 yrs, however, I lived in the country and she roamed the fenced in grass yard. In Feb I moved to the city...less exercise, no grass. I ordered the hay from Chewy and they had it to me the next day!!! I didn’t even ask! Jackie is doing soooooo much better!!!! She gets a little Trop Carn as treat if she’s good;)

    Wonderful Hay

    By Mary2 on Nov 24, 2020

Hay smells fresh and has very little dust. Oxbow is dusty. I paid a bit more for Small Pet Select than Oxbow but I don’t mind if good quality and my piggies like it. Which they seem to. Will buy again.

    Disappointed

By Cynbratt on Nov 24, 2020

This got great reviews from guinea pig experts and I was so excited but it was full of hard sticks my piggies won't eat and the large box its packed in is very messy! Sadly, won't buy it again
