Mostly Brown, inedible hay
I purchased this for my rabbit, since it comes in a bulk size option. This was my first time trying this brand, and I regret it. My rabbit is not a picky eater, but he won't even attempt to eat this. The hay is mostly brown, and inedible looking, which is ironic since this company prides itself on having the "freshest" hay. Pretty disappointing, and a huge waste of time and money.
Too much small pieces
The hay wasn't as good as I thought it would be. Too much brown pieces and dust! It's hard to find good hay.
Amazing
I usually had to throw away most of the hay (about 80%) that I gave to my piggies. However, with this hay there is barely anything left (about 20%). They love it so much!
Dried out
My latest shipment was mostly brown and stringy. Guinea pigs were not fans.
2nd Cut Timothy Hay
This is my first purchase from Small Pet Select and am very happy. The Timothy hay is fresh, green, smaller seed heads. I have an elderly rabbit so easier for her to digest. I like the no waste environmentally friendly packaging, no plastic bag. Hay is packed nicely in the box.

Great Hay for Bunnies
My two bunnies love this hay! The second cut Timothy hay is much preferred to the first cut from other brands. Will definitely be our preferred hay to feed going forward.

Recommend a smaller box
Personally, I think the smaller boxes are better. The bigger boxes tend to have more dust and smaller pieces. This was the first time I got a 12 lb box, maybe I just got a bad box. I'm not sure, but it felt like there was more waste in this box.
Love this hay!
I really love this hay. I'm used to the more well known brands of hay. And had been out of the market for a while so I was not familiar with Small Pet Select. I really liked that it said it was 2nd cut which is supposed to be the best quality for healthy animals. So I decided to give it a try! The first thing I noticed when I opened the box was how fresh, green, and fragrant it was. The piggies love it!!! Seems like a really premium hay brand!!!!
