Nutritional Info

Ingredients

100% Organic Oats, Wheat, Rye and Barley.

Instructions

Remove the netting from pellets and replace into each compartment. Pour 3 ounces of warm water onto each pellet in your planting container. Wait 10 minutes for the pellets to absorb the water. Remove about 1 teaspoon of soil from each pellet and set aside. Open seed pack and stir seeds into the soil. Using the soil that you set aside in step 4 cover the seeds and lightly mix. Add water if necessary to keep soil and seeds moist-however, over watering can lead to a fungal and mold growth. Drain any excess water from the bottom tray. Do not allow the seeds to dry out. Lightly mist your garden daily to keep moist. Keep in a location that is between 65-70 degrees F. When the grasses are 3” to 4” tall, you can treat your kitty to its garden.

  • Kitty's Garden is the bast!!!

    By on

I got this for my 6 indoor cats. They range in age from 5 to 10 months. They all loved the garden. It was easy to grow and was ready in about 4 days. This was my first time growing the garden. I think I may have over watered as I had a slight mold issue. I removed the mold and didn't water as much. It continued to grow. I am now growing the second garden. I would actually like to have three for them at all times. They are not spitting up as much as before. It has been reduced by about 80%.

  • Abby didn't touch it...

    By on Top 500 Contributor

I bought this for my cat to have something fresh to chew on, but she was not a fan at all...we tried hard to coax her to try chewing on it, but all it was was another planter growing grass. It sprouted well and grew quickly, but was not a hit with our cat. I'll probably plant some catnip in the planter next, because it is a really cute planter...

Very easy to grow, however, but neither one of my 2 indoor cats wanted to eat it. It was a waste of money on my part unfortunately. The little packet of seeds that came with the garden was not labeled as to what kind of seeds they were. Maybe I will grow some catnip or some herbs in the cute container.

  • Fun idea; grew fast..

    By on

I found the direction under the seed compartment and followed directions. They grew fast and this is a cute kit. The seeds are mixed up together, not separate as the directions state. My cat had nothing to do with the grasses. She can go out and enjoys our yard grass. Very cute, none the less. Might reuse for s herb start.

  • Fun to Plant/Grow and Cats Enjoy the Grass

    By on

My cats seemed to enjoy this cat grass. The box it came with is nice. I would like to point out that the seeds were not separated. They came mixed together in one bag. It took me about an hour to separate them all because I wanted to see if my cats preferred a certain kind over another. The rye grew the fastest. My cats tried each kind of grass, but seemed to prefer the barely. I did notice the fine white mold every now and then, but a few squirts of water and it went away. I gave 4 stars because the seeds weren't separated like the picture makes it seem. Also, it's fairly easy for the cats to make a mess digging in the soil when they get bored with eating the grass. The grass doesn't continue to grow, so new seeds need to be planted every other week or so. Overall, my cats enjoyed the grass, but I think it'd be too much of a hassle to keep up with ordering seeds and replanting so often. … more

  • So dang cute & yummy

    By on

It took a few days before I got around to plant the seeds. Misting is important, so I put the mister next to my coffee mug..good reminder. It took about 5 days and the seeds sprouted and grew fast. They are not quite ready yet to give to Miss Kitty, but I know she is going to love it. As it is now, every time I come in the back door, I have to have a handful of grass or she cries until I go back out and pull some out of the lawn. The planter box is perfect, good and sturdy, and so cute, looks perfect in my window shelf.

  • My Problem Cat Seems to Enjoy

    By on

I bought this product because my problem kitty loves to chew on all plants, fake or real. To keep her from hurting herself and destroying all plant life in my house I purchased Kitty's Garden. The grass grew quickly, few days. My problem kitty seems to be enjoying the grass often. Only issue is there is some white fuzz growing and I'm not sure why, it is in the sun and has not been watered since initial planting. Overall though I am pleased with the purchase as it is a nice planter and the grass grew well.

  • Cat wasn't so interested in it as I was - adorable packaging

    By on

The instructions for how to plant are in between the 2 plastic black containers! There are two plastic black containers stacked up on each other. I purchased two and gave one to a family member and they realized the instructions were there after watering the plant. The plant grew in about 5-6 days (we had a lot of cloudy days up here when I planted it.) It looks adorable but my cat was not interested in it at all. I wondered why since she seems to like chewing on the house plants which is the reason I purchased this. Sigh. Im going to give it another try and see if it can perk up my kitty's interest.

  • Wow!! So fun and easy!!

    By on

I love the kitty garden! It was easy to start the seeds and the grasses were really ready to eat in four days!! I only used about 10% of the seeds so I can grow them many times. My Mac and Cheese love their treat they can snack on any time!

  • Grass grows quick

    By on Top 250 Contributor

My cat enjoys bothering my plants in the house so I bought this for him. It grows pretty quick but it also doesn't last long and dies off just as fast. It would be okay if my cat bothered with it more but he just sticks his face in it and walks away. Occasionally he'll take a chomp or two.
