    Tall and sturdy

    Junior Cat took to it immediately, but Senior Cat took several days to warm up to it. It's tall enough that they can both stretch full out for a good, satisfying scratch. And it looks very well-made. The wide platform base isn't carpeted--good! Easy to clean. Yes, it's pricey. But since we've previously Junior Cat took to it immediately, but Senior Cat took several days to warm up to it. It's tall enough that they can both stretch full out for a good, satisfying scratch. But since we've previously had another scratcher from this maker and were very satisfied with it, we expected this one to be a good value. … more

    Cat's will not use it

    Bought 2 to flank our furniture that gets scratched by our 2 cats. Our cats will scratch cardboard scratchers, rope on cat tree, couch/recliner/rugs but they will not touch these posts. They act as if they are not even there. We tried catnip, we tried playing with them all over it trying to get them Bought 2 to flank our furniture that gets scratched by our 2 cats. We tried catnip, we tried playing with them all over it trying to get them to touch it. We tried laying them down horizontally to get them more comfortable with climbing on it. But in the end when we stand them up they will not go near them. We're being super patient but so far HUGE waste of money. The item itself seems fine. Perhaps this is an issue with our cats but they don't seem to like the material of these when we did lay them down horizontally they tried them and were not interested. Oh well. … more
