Instructions
Full Bin Notification: When the disposal bin is full, an alarm will go off along with a screen notification letting you know it is time to replace the bag. The alarm will continue periodically until you change it. Open the bin, remove the old bag and replace with new. Top off litter if needed. Click the RESET button once to clear the “Loo Count” and “Kitty Weight” and Lee’s Loo is ready to go. Cleaning: Cats like using a clean loo just as we do. We recommend changing the litter completely periodically. When this is done, you should also clean the inside of the loo. Push tabs on the sides and open up the top cover and to remove the loo drum. Empty old litter and scrub to your heart’s and kitty’s delight. There are no electrical components inside the loo drum. When finished, dry thoroughly. Then replace, refill and reset and the loo is open for business once again.
Remove product from packaging. Pull out the disposal bin. Insert litter bag using provided clasps to fix to the bin. Also insert charcoal carbon filter and potpourri. Close the disposal bin. Pour clumping cat litter up to the silicone edge and smooth. Do not exceed. For the first time, approximately 13lbs of cat litter is recommended. *Be sure to pour in cat litter before starting the machine! Plug in the power and hold the power button for 3 seconds to turn on. You are ready to go!

How will the unit stop litter from being tracked? It’s still on their paws. What kind of warranty? Where can the bags be purchased? How long has it been on the market (to know life expectancy of unit and long term quality)? Just asking before I dive in and buy one! Thanks

The entranceway features a silicone ring with a custom designed lip to remove excess litter from kitty feet upon exit. While no system is perfect, Leo's Loo allows minimal amounts of litter to escape, especially compared to traditional boxes and competing products. Any large size litter liner bag can work and their custom bags will soon be available on the manufacturer's website. This product was recently launched in the US but has been tested for well over a year for quality and durability.
This litter box has a 1 year warranty and Leo's Loo will cover all parts, labor, and shipping costs (within the contiguous 48 United States). You must register your product on their website after purchasing to be eligible by simply entering the serial number from the base of your unit, date of purchase, your name, email and phone number.
How often do you have to change out the litter and litter collection bag?
Answer by • Apr 18, 2021
How often the litter will be changed depends on how many and how often each cat uses the litter box. Cats like using a clean loo just as we do. We recommend changing the litter completely periodically. When this is done, you should also clean the inside of the loo. When the disposal bin is full, an alarm will go off along with a screen notification letting you know it is time to replace the bag. The alarm will continue periodically until you change it.
How often does it self-clean? Is there any danger of it self-cleaning when cat is inside of it?
Answer by • Apr 19, 2021
Leo’s Loo is designed with kitty safety in mind. Weight sensors and anti-pinch technology stop moving parts so our feline friends are always safe when they step inside. Leo’s Loo automatically cleans itself after each cat visit. An alert on the display will tell you when the waste drawer needs to be changed.
Can I place the litter box on the carpet?
Answer by • Apr 18, 2021
Leo’s Loo was designed to look beautiful wherever you decide to place it in your home.
This product works as advertised. It can effectively prevent you from having to scoop litter. It does not have app integration with smart phones. It is large, it is nearly the size of my laundry machine. But if you have space for it, I highly recommend.
*Note* Many reviews mention the error with a warning sign or the product not automatically working. This is an issue with the sensors and it can be fixed by contacting customercare@smartypear.com. I let them know the issue I was having and they sent a replacement sensor at no cost to me. Product works perfectly with the new sensors.

wanted to like but needs a lot of work
Waiting on chewy to contact me for a return on this item. First day it worked well spinning after use. However lately its been making a cracking noise and will start auto-spinning without even using maybe 4-5 times un 20 minutes range. Not to mention the horrible smell after one use. The smell its so unbearable it can be smell from outside house. I have to be changing bag 3-4 times a day and change litter to camouflage smell but it still smells disgusting... idk what else to do just waiting on chewy to send me a return label and send it back.
If I would've known will had not purchase it its worse than cleaning regular litter box if not about the same.
I still conserve the original leos loo box to ship it back. Thank you Chewy!

Doesn't work
It doesn't work. Always has a code which makes it not turn on its own. The bottom container is so small and the chuncks stack up making me have to empty it every 2-3 days

Sorry I bought this
I had the litter robot and it worked great for at least 4 years and stopped working, so I thought I would try the loo as it was less money. I can't get it to work automatically always have to push the button to make it work. The litter drawer is so small. The light keeps blinking weather the drawer is empty or full. So sorry I didn't spend the extra money and get the Litter Robot.

Bummed! Smelly
Sad to say that this thing was a waste of time & money. The smell coming from it after 3 days is 10x worse than my traditional box! The drawer fills up after a few days, the drawer is cumbersome to put back in, the drum randomly decided not to turn when we left town for the weekend.

Biggest Fan
Ive been a customer since the beginning and I had to finally leave a review after reading all these other reviews
Honestly not regretting one minute since purchasing
My cat gets in the LL no problem
Customer care gave me tips to shake the drawer before pulling in out to make sure the waste is all spread out in the drawer.
I clean it regularly. I also have the LLT that has a sanitation UV light but even without it I have no odor like a regular cat box has. Thank you Smarty Pear for allowing me to have the luxury to never scoop poop again.

Drawer is too small. Fills up daily
This box has several faults. It's marketed for multiple cat households. But, 3 cats fill it up everyday sometimes more than once.
There's going to be waste clumps on every entrance because clumping cat litter makes solids on peeing and pooping. 3 cats pee several times a day each then poop a couple times. There's just no way for that small drawer to not fill up
I'm asking them to please make a taller drawer that's deeper. The poop also drops in a pile and doesn't lay flat so box stops and the drawer has to be pulled out shaken a bit and inserted again. This brings me to another flaw. The drawer is very very hard to insert as it's fighting against the bag . There's gotta be a better way. The poop also sticks to the side when it's wet.
Finally there's no way to keep the litter inside. The cats jump out and litter goes everywhere. I got a mat but it doesn't even cover the litter flinging area.
I really am disappointed and am thinking about returning it. Will Leo's loo company help me or not care?

Some Flaws, but works well
I've had this little box for over a year and I really like it. I can't compare it to a litter robot, but ultimately it works reliably and I appreciate not having to manually scoop. I think the poor reviews come from the full sensor (a laser) getting triggered by the waste bag.
Pros
- good weight sensing- it stops cleaning if the cat hops in
-reliable- chugs along nicely and rarely needs more than the waste drawer emptied.
- comfortably sized for my cat
- my cat took to it immediately and prefers it over a traditional litter box
Cons
- the sifting grate isn't fine enough to catch everything (the 5% of tiny poops get through)
- the waste drawer could be better designed. If you use a waste bag, it needs to be clipped down to keep from triggering the sensor. The provided clips are ineffective, but I've found small binder clips (one in back, on on each corner of the front) to be much better.
- though it helps if you need to replace parts, the chamber for the water drawer has the wiring accessible and the plastic has support fins. If I needed to replace parts, this would save me some hassle, but in the meantime it makes cleaning a little less straightforward.

Leo's Loo self cleaning litterbox
The machine itself works well, but my cats won't use it. They are older and that may be why. They don't like change. Haven't removed regular litter box because I don't want to chance them going somewhere they shouldn't. I plan to give them a long time to check it out and maybe use it.

Six Months of Bliss
We had pretty much the same experience as most on here. It worked AMAZING for about 4 months, then started having a few flaws such as the sensors thinking the waste compartment was full and it not spinning much. After six months the stench coming from the litter box was overwhelming. We cleaned it completely as recommended, wiping it down with gentle cleaners, replacing all the litter, etc. it still would not spin. The manual option on ours never worked, so each time we had to clean it we were forced to turn it off and on to reset it. We determined sending it back would be in our best interest. Chewy was amazing as usual and gave us a full refund.
