Cats are creatures of habit with short attention spans—that's why brief, scheduled play sessions with your feline are best. Just two or more 10 to 15-minute sessions of interactive play a day is paw-fect and can also help preserve the battery life in your cat's favorite toy. The expected battery life in this toy is 10,000 Activations, so remember to turn it off when it's not being used!

I bought this bird to be able to use free shipping. My cat never plays with toys and I've been trying to find something she likes to no avail. Until I got this Chickadee bird! She loves it and throws it in the air to catch it or just play with it and I was shocked. I seldom write reviews but this toy was a hit in our house.
Our cat, Bolin, loves these birds! I had purchased a few several months ago and he played with them for hours so naturally when Christmas came around, I purchased a few more. We have to laugh because all you have to do is move them and they tweet so even when we accidentally step on them they tweet and he gives us a look. Like, hey you can't play with my toy. It also gives us a good idea where our boy is because we can hear his bird. Not sure how long the tweet will last but I will definitely buy them again. They are worth his enjoyment.
I bought 3 of these cute birds for my mothers' cats for Christmas. My mother had no clue who the box came from and she wrote to you that these things had been wrongly delivered to her, and that 2 of the birds weren't working. She didn't buy them she wasn't worried about it because they were free, well they were not free. It is a shame you don't have the ability to send gift messages. Such a disappointment. The cats didn't like the bags either.
Just like the headline this little bird chirps when the cat plays with it. It does not have replaceable batteries, but it is cute and only chirps when it is played with and has got catnip in it for extra fun for the cats. I bought it for my grand cats and kids liked it and they played with it first to make it chirp some. Fun for everyone.
Very unhappy that Emily's new chickadee won't chirp. I removed the tab as instructed and then gave it some good swats to make it sound. Nothing. My cat particularly likes toys that make noise and so she is so disappointed that she ignores the Chickadee entirely. Only good thing is that I wasn't waiting for Christmas to give this toy although the floppy fish she wants for Christmas remain out of stock. Chickadee is the last time I will be swayed by 4-star review rating.
It can take more force to activate than our cat usually bats with when curious about stuff, so he often loses interest. If we toss it a couple times it makes enough noise for him to get more enthusiastic and then it makes noise and he keeps playing with it.
Ever since I gave my cat this toy, he can't stop playing with it. He spent at least 15 minutes chasing it around the room yesterday. Would recommend buying this if your cat is very high energy.
My cat absolutely loves this toy, he is very picky with toys. I bought this in hopes of giving him more exercise along with one other squeaky mouse from chewy website. As soon as I opened the bird and took the little plastic out of the bottom of it to activate it, my cat went wild. He bats it all around the house and even carries it to his food bowl and his bed. I have to hide it at night as he wants to keep us awake all night playing with this toy!
I thought he would be fascinated, but my cat could care less about this toy. There is no motion to it, and it doesn't react or make sounds unless it gets thumped around pretty hard...and why would anyone want to thump around a motionless object?
First one received didn't work so I called the Vendor and received a recorded message saying contact the supplier so I called Chewy and was given a replacement order with little effort. I am very impressed with Chewy's customer service. I didn't give this item a five star since the first toy was inoperable/ But I can hear my kittens playing with the new one in the hall. Will wait and see about battery life before making a final evaluation but the kittens do love the sound and play often with it
