kitty loves this birdie

Our kitten is a VERY high energy kitten. We had an old “chirping” mouse toy from when our senior cat was little. After hours of the kitten using it though, the chirping noise finally quit causing our kitten to loose interest in it. I searched high and low for a replacement mouse for her but was unable to find one. Instead, I found this little birdie toy and it has been our kittens favorite toy for almost three months now. She bats it around, plays catch, and even fetch with it. (Yes, she is a kitten and not a dog.) She loves it! The bird noises are fairly realistic, so not a digital style of chirp, which we like. The sound is quite loud for a cat toy, but like anything, you eventually learn to ignore it. Either way, we are happy our kitten is happy and have already bought another one to have as a backup for when this one finally dies…doesn’t seem like it will be any time soon though!

Hit or Miss as others have said

Didn't work after the initial "pull" and as others said it may be an old product with dead batteries. Chewy is great and refunding the $ rather than the hassle of returning it to them etc. BUT be warned, it is a catnip plush and that will work but the chirp. Nada

I was SO excited about this

I don't know why, but I got SO very excited by the thought of this little toy for my cat. It came today and it was such a disappointment. I pulled out the tab, but nothing. It makes no noise whatsoever. I was hoping that with the catnip at least, my cat would play with it. I was really excited about getting him something I thought he would love so I'm very disappointed.

Semi Interesting, Barely Used

My cat loves birds. If she hears a chirp on the TV, her eyes are glued. I bought this thinking it would be stimulating for her, but she’s barely used it since I first brought it out for her. Not sure if she’s not into soft toys, or if there’s another reason, but she’s just not that into it. Maybe your cat will be. Overall, the product is what it says it is, and for a good price. When the bird is moved, it chirps. Great for batting if your cat likes it. Would probably be better if it could be filled with catnip or something.

Fun Inviting Toy

I look for toys for my little Chica (indoor cat) that are intriguing and safe for both her and our house hold. Of course any cat (or dog) can tear apart a soft toy if they are determined, but some are harder to destroy than others and this one appears to be a challenge. She loves the chirp and she plays with it, with or without me.

Loving this toy!

I purchased this for our two newly adopted cats. What a hit! The older cat treats it like a newborn, carrying it around in her mouth. The younger cat trys to knock the stuffing out of it, batting and pouncing like crazy! One thing that seems to attract them is the chirping noise activated by motion. They really keep the little bird chirping. After the first ten minutes of playing my husband asked, "When do you think it will break?" LOL (We do put it away at bedtime after being woken up in the middle of the night by them playing with the bird.)

No a favorite.

I'm kind of disappointed in this one. Our cats love watching the birds from the window so I had hoped they'd like this toy but they just don't. It's extremely loud and I think that's what scares them. They've enjoyed their other electronic toys that make noises but this one doesn't make noise until they touch it and then it seemingly explodes into a deafening chorus. There's not a balance between enticing the cat to play and blowing their ear drums off when they do.

didn't like it right away

When I opened the package the cat just walked by it. The dogs picked it up and carried it away. The next day, I put it where the cat was resting and he got really interested in it. I think the dogs activated the catnip in it. He has been playing with it and I hear the chirping sound.

Quit working in 15 mins

When I took this out and it chirped, both cats (3 yrs old) came running and Jasper played with it immediately. Thats what the 2 stars are for. But within 15 minutes, it quit chirping. Now it's just another stuffed thing around the house, and they're both disinterested bc it isn't even filled with catnip like the other stuffed toys.

Cats like the sound

Was looking for a squeaking mouse toy since our old one ran out of batteries but couldn't find one. This was a nice second option. They liked batting the toy around to make it cheep.
