I read that you should turn it off to preserve the battery since it’s not replaceable but I can’t find anything to tell me how. Can anyone help?

The battery is inside the bird. You cannot get to it unless you cut the bird, and then I do not know how you would cut the battery off. The batteries do run down, especially when the bird is displayed and people like to check it out, therefor running down the battery. Cats do love this toy, but it does run down shortly.
Is the battery replaceable?

My four babies love this!

Keeps them entertained for hours . This keeps them playing for long hours at a time they adore the noise that it makes. However, I have a dog that loves it as well and when the cats finally get through playing the dog attacks it and choose it up so I have to keep buying them but I would recommend this.

Darling toy

I`d previously bought the bird and it makes the same chirping sound as this, and my younger cat likes it, but tends to play with the bird instead, if she has a choice, hence the 4 stars instead of 5 (I think it`s the smaller, easier to carry in her mouth size) but your cats might like this one better...certainly worth the cost of the toy to try it!

Selective chirping.

Was going to leave three stars for the three days it chirped as it should, but after fidgeting with it a little it found it's voice again, only fainter. I assume it won't be long before this feathered feline's foe losses it's voice for good, but that's okay....I won't have to hide it to get peace and quiet then... Still a good toy for my little girl so it's all good.

Not overly impressed

Honestly out of all pull tab to activate toys this one was by far most non enthusing toy barely made any noise an barely could hear it my cats love toys that chirp an make noise but because it failed to make much of any noise they so far have yet to care for it would recommend get two or more if u get because u will have a better chance at getting one that works right

Giant hit!

I would only recommend that you pick these chirping little toys up at night before your bedtime. My cats love them SO much, they play with them and bring them to bed with ME so they can keep them close. Waking up to little squeaky sounds at 2 a.m. can create restlessness for many. Haha!

Birds Without Feathers

We had to remove the feathers as they were becoming a meal then we had to dispose of the birds entirely as the plastic where the feathers were removed was too sharp for play.

Lots of fun

My cat is crazy about this silly toy. It chirps is it's touched. We hear him playing with it in the middle of the night. It's so fun to watch him play with it. We hide it and then make it chirp and he has a blast looking for it.

Does not chirp

When I received this item it came with a pull tab to activate the battery, I pulled it but no noise came from the bird. I bought it for the noise because my kitty likes that. I was disappointed.. my kitty still plays with it but I think he would have liked it even more if it chirped.

Not too much chit chatter

I am not sure if I received a dud but this toy made noise 2 times and it no longer works. It's cute but my cats show no interest.

I despise. My cat LOVES.

The sound from this toy is so incredibly Loud and Annoying, but my cat LOVES playing with it. Every so often though I’ll hear it’s chirp and pray that it’s battery will die already. As long as my cat is happy though, right?
