Smart cat kitty cat teepee doesn’t stay open. Is it set up wrong?

This product is easy to put together, all you have to do is slide the tent poles through the channels in the Kitty Camp Cover and attach the feather to the top.
Is it good for a bunnies hide out

Old Cats New Toy

The tent is of tent material. Scratching it makes my older cats interested. Put a little catnip inside and they will go in. This causes others to pounce and slap which is funny. There is no built in way for the poles to remain extended at the base. So, while the tent mostly stays up, it falls down almost every time they play in it. They especially like the feathers on a string on top.

not for a cat

If it’s not on carpet that’s pretty thick it’s going to collapse if it’s on tile it’s just gonna slide and fall over it’s not very sturdy there are better tents to get them on here.

Needs reinforcement to stand up

It kept collapsing so I cut a piece of cardboard to fit the bottom inside of the unit and it now stands up as expected. The material is very durable and her claws have not damaged the material. I am now buying one as a gift but will explain that the cardboard is needed.

Wish I'd Had One

I always wanted a play tent as a child but never had one. My cats have this, though. It's a hit with them. They will often go into the tent to take a bath or just hang out.

The frame on the base isn’t solid or strong so it just collapses. 4 cats haven’t used it one time.

Needs stability at the base

I purchased this tent because it looked cute. However, it is not at all stable when put together. The legs fold in and close the tent scaring my cat. She won't use it now.

tent of sadness

I thought my youngest cat who hides in everything would love this. Once you put the tent stakes in, you expect it will stay together but the fabric starts to slide. CoffeeCat tried it but didn’t love it. I did take Velcro to one side of the opening to make it easier to get in and out. I’ve never done a review this negative about a Chewy product.

expected quality for price

Was looking for some cheap toys to occupy my new cats. Didn’t really know what to expect, but it’s crinkly and plastic like as described. The photos make it look nicer than it is. My only gripe is that when the animals try to go inside the teepee it collapses because there’s no ground support, it’s only held up by the 4 poles. It definitely needs a pvc base or something

Disappointed

Very very cheap material. Once put together the tent starts to fall apart and won't stay open. Very disappointed and wish I had looked at the reviews before buying.
