Most Helpful Critical Review
Read All 8 Critical ReviewsToo big basically silica rocks
By Spike on May 17, 2022
Decent price, keeps smell away and is essentially dust free but that's probably because the prices are like pebbles in the litter box. My cat took to it pretty well but won't bury because it's rocks and not sand or pellets. Prettylitter was better by far but too pricey.

The worst litter ever
By awful on Jan 4, 2022
This is 100% the worst crystal litter I’ve ever used and I’ve been using crystal non-clumping litter for years. The chunks are huge, don’t strain out of the poop scoop, and honestly I think it drove my cat to the ER. She hates the texture that much! Don’t do it!

Too dusty!!
By CoolKat on Sep 26, 2021
I bought 2 bags of this stuff because the other brand I usually purchase has been sold out. My 8 year old cat is as low Maintenance as possible, but this stuff has had him constantly sneezing for three days in a row due to the dust and particles. Have no idea why manufacturer thinks this is market ready but I had to dump out his box and use another brand

Poor Odor Control & Very Dusty
By Carla1951 on Jan 2, 2021
I've been a long time fan of Feline Pine, but the only drawback is that it tends to stick to the pan when emptying it for cleaning. It's also quite heavy when time to change. This type crystal cat littler looked like it would slide right out and would be more manageable for me - lighter weight. It is lighter weight, it does easily slide out of the pan, HOWEVER, the urine odor is very strong after only 3 or 4 days. Another issue with Snappy Tom is that it is immensely dusty. When I poured it into the litter pan, it created a dust cloud that stayed in the air for several minutes. Not so great for my lungs or poos kitty's. With Feline Pine, even when most of the litter is saturated, there I've been a long time fan of Feline Pine, but the only drawback is that it tends to stick to the pan when emptying it for cleaning. With Feline Pine, even when most of the litter is saturated, there is NO ODOR and the dust factor is almost non-existent. So - odor control trumps convenience for me and my kitty. I am definitely using this until it runs out, but will only be ordering Feline Pine going forward … more

Satisfied:
By Aeryn on Oct 4, 2020
Excellent odor control and minimal tracking. I have 3 cats in an efficiency unit and I have no problems with these. I only gave 4 stars bc it's actually quite dusty in my opinion. I did really only notice the dyst when filling the boxes though. I don't use litter box liners, but they include free ones in the litter which is nice for those that use them. They say one small bag is good 30 days for one cat, that being said I have 3 cats and 2 boxes, the large bag lasts about 30 days. So the time frame is fairly accurate. I use the unscented bc I have sensitive allergies and it does not bother me like many other litters can.

Super dusty
By Michelle on Sep 29, 2020
I bought this litter because my cat is super sensitive to dust and has sneezing fits if the litter is too dusty. This is probably the most dusty crystal litter I’ve ever gotten and completely filled the room with dust when I poured it. If you are looking for a dust free litter I do not recommend.

Not out favorite, not the worst
By cenmad on Sep 20, 2020
We're trying to find a non-tracking litter for our 23 year old and 2 kittens. While this litter is far better than Dr. Elsey's Senior, it's more dusty than Dr. Elsey's Respiratory Relief. The particles are much larger, though, not the the fine sand like Dr. Elsey that tracks everywhere. Compared to all the others we've tried, I'd rank this behind Scoop Free for odor control and dust. It's otherwise the same as that one, with large, jagged pieces that track moderately and crunch beneath your feet.

I have 3 maine coons and have found that this litter has worked the best for not only smell but for tracking.

High Tracking
By KatMom on Apr 29, 2020
I have been trying to find a decent litter for my senior cat, and have gone through so many due to dust issues as well as tracking. I thought this would be a good one until I noticed dust pouring out of the box. My cat also started choking. I had just put it in and possibly hadn't settled yet, but haven't had the issue before..I am uncertain at this point if I will purchase again. Also important here is that I mixed it with the previous litter that is clay based and HEAVY.
