Snooks Sweet Potato Steak Fries

Thought these would be softer. Too hard for my 50lb dog. I have a friend that has a German Shepherd that would probably like them.

Way too hard!

I should have read the reviews before purchasing, because I thought the "fries" were soft. They are like rocks and I was afraid it would crack my dogs' teeth. I even boiled and cut them up and all my dogs spit them out and walked away. The only thing positive I can say is it's a 1-ingredient and smells nice.

Healthy Teeth and Great Smelling Treat

This treat is great for all dog types even aggressive chewers. No stinky bully sticks here, this treat is 100% organic dried sweet potato that smells great and promotes doggy dental hygiene! Please make sure you are near to supervise any dog treat you give and have water close by!

Equally as dangerous as rawhide

When I first bought these I was thrilled that my dogs loved them! They are very hard but my dogs broke them up into pieces so I wasn't worried about them choking or getting a blockage. I also assumed that they would digest since they were sweet potatoes. Wrong. They come out the same as they go in. I started noticing the pieces in their feces. Then I found vomit around my house with pieces in them as well. I ordered the three different varieties and gave them accordingly to the size of my dogs. They all had the pieces in their feces and they all threw them up. These are just as dangerous as rawhide so I threw them away. I do not recommend giving these to your dog.

Much too hard

I’m always searching for a healthy and safe dog chew for my small pups. This, unfortunately, is not the one. The ingredients seem fine, but it is much too hard. My terrier who has never had issues with a chew couldn’t make any headway with this. I took it away as I was worried it would hurt her teeth. I’ll put them outdoors for the squirrels.

They are a hit!

My 2 year old golden retriever is a huge fan. He seems to really enjoy these treats. They don’t take him long to eat but he does actually chew them and savor them.

NOT what they used to be, sadly

I have been buying these for years in my local stores before they came to Chewy.com, even the 5lb bag of them (yes, 5 lbs). My dogs LOVE them and they are a great alternative to rawhide or other hard bones. They were always thick and took my big guys a bit of time to eat them. But now, the past several times I've bought them, they are thin and brittle and often arrive broken into pieces, defeating the purpose of buying them in the steak fry configuration!. I am so so so disappointed in the quality of these these days and can no longer buy them. PLEASE I beg of Snooks to make these the way you used to!! Until then, no more for us, even though my dogs loved them. I cannot justify buying a bag of mixed powder and small chunks. :(

Way better than the rings!

I tried their rings and they are way too small for puppy or dog to hold, but these on the other hand are way better and longer. These are easier to hold and good for dogs who love to chew on sticks!

The heavy chewers is the pack loves these.

Snooks makes smaller sweet potato treats for lighter chewers, these are good for my growing puppies and our German Shepherd's favorite are the xl rope chews. Packleader likes these chews because they are a safe & digestible crunchy chew that keeps the pack occupied for, oh, a few minutes:)
