Before you buy a Console Lookout always measure your pet & compare its sitting/sleeping dimensions to our Console Lookouts’ interior dimensions. Also, always measure your car’s console dimensions and compare to our Console Lookout exterior dimensions. Since all vehicle consoles vary, the size you order will need to reflect the size of the space available in your vehicle as well as the size of your pet. Always measure for both factors on Console Lookouts before you make your purchase. We recommend comparing the dimensions of the seat to your pet(s) sleeping area. We suggest cutting a piece of newspaper, wrapping paper, or butcher paper to the interior dimensions of the lookout seat you’re interested in. Place it on the floor, and have your pet(s) sit on the paper. If they fit in the space provided, the seat will work. If they do not, please try the next size up. Is this car seat 19 inches wide?

This High-Back Console Pet Seat measures 18 inches long x 9 inches wide x 7 inches high (front)/12 inches high (back). The interior dimensions is 16 inches long x 6 inches wide x 5 inches high (front).
What kind of harness seat belt strap do you get for this car seat

Inside this car seat, there is a containment strap that attaches to the dog's harness. No harness is provided with the car seat, but the containment strap will work with any harness.
How safe is this if front air bags go off?

The manufacturer does not make any claims about the safety of their Console/Lookout Car Seats. They only recommend putting these in the front seat, if the front air bags can be turned off.

Harbor likes it

My mini schnauzer likes to be right there with us driving. It keeps him from sliding and makes him feel secure. Make sure the straps are installed properly, he flipped off the back the first time because my console wasn't shut properly. Overall I am very happy with it.

unfortunately it's very small

this is tiny! my frenchy puppy is under 18 lbs and 23 weeks old its too small for her. other than that the fabric is great, construction is sturdy. it would be perfect if it was bigger.

Doggy approved, trouble installing

Chewy had the best price on this snoozer. Tried a knock off from online store and it lacked structure to keep my pup comfy and secure. Minus one star because I had to cut one of the straps and hand stitch (which was difficult with the thick strap fabric). It was the strap that goes under the flip up part of the console. You can slide the strap to shorten but even shortening as much as it would there was still over a foot excess. Can't imagine a console this would fit expect maybe a pick up truck.

VERY SMALL

If you have a very small dog - this is perfect. I have a Jack Russell (Small) and it is too small for her. If you have a very small Chihuahua, this would be perfect.

Great product, I modified the product a bit, removed the back wall for access from the back seat.

Car Seat too small

We got the lovely car seat and realized it was too small for our 9 lb miniature poodle, so we'll try ordering the next size up and see if that works. Love the car seat though....appears to be very well made and super comfy for our spoiled stinkpot. :)

Booster seat

Very nice product. Could be a little larger. That's on me for not checking the dimensions close enough.
