PTSD and Puppy Loss
I recently rescued an abused dog that was abandoned on our road. She had clearly been pregnant before and was pregnant at the time we found her. Unfortunately, for several reasons, her pregnancy had to be terminated. She was clearly struggling emotionally and I had been working with her to get her to come out of her shell. I came across this toy on Chewy when I was putting in an order for some of her medications. When it arrived I spritzed it with some calming spray and presented it to her as if it were an actual puppy, giving it pets and treating the toy gently. She clearly recognizes that it isnt living but will often groom it and carry it around with her by its scruff. Since receiving this toy she has become far less anxious and has slowly come out of her little anxious bubble.
Snuggle Puppy (Dash's baby)
Dash is a 1 year old Australian Cattle Dog. He is hard on toys. He will shred a stuffed toy within minutes. But his "baby", the snuggle puppy, he has not torn up. I bought this second one because I needed to wash the first one. Dash would search the house for it and pout until I gave it back to him.
Miracle Worker!
I’m not normally one to write reviews but I have to write one for this product! I brought home an 8 week old puppy last weekend and crate training was not going well. My puppy cried constantly all night long. No one was getting any sleep. A friend told me she’d used this with her puppy and that it really helped so I decided to get one. And let me say it has been a game changer!! Puppy still cries a bit but this product has made an incredible difference in helping him to calm down and sleep. I chose to not add in the heat packs so we are using the heartbeat simulator on its own and the results are incredible. You have to try this product out!
Best cuddle buddy
I bought this snuggle puppy on a whim I'm hopes that it would help out 8 week old puppy feel less alone! It worked wonders! Not only is it soft and cuddly; our pup curls up right next to or on it and falls right alseep. You can turn the heartbeat on and off, but we have kept it on continuously since bringing our puppy home...5 days and still going strong! 100% Would recommend!
Puppy Magic
I usually don’t leave a lot of reviews but felt compelled to leave one because this snuggle puppy has been a lifesaver for us. We hadn’t had a puppy for about 10 years so we were a bit rusty. This snuggy helped calm Dash down, helped with crate training, he just loves it. He still uses it EVERY DAY and he is nearly 5 months old. We even invested in a backup. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
FUR-REAL!!
This is PEANUT, and my cat ARCHIE loves him! I'm having a hard time sharing him. You have to get one to experience the feeling you and your pet will get from this adorable puppy. What a great gift this would be fur someone, you don't have to feed, take out for a walk, no fall-out doggy hair and no barking!
Heartbeat made loud noise after 1 day
I was really hoping to love this as we just got a puppy and wanted to ease her transition. Unfortunately this made no difference and after the first night the heart beat started making a loud noise. This pup now just sits off the corner of the bed as our puppy barely snuggles or plays with it.
Snug as a bug
The first week with an 8 week old puppy was difficult but I think Snuggle Puppy make it easier on everyone. We had three nights of crying when he went into bed, first 10 minutes, second 8 minutes, and third 5 minutes. No more crying now unless he tells us he needs to go out in the middle of the night. He carries Snuggle Puppy around my bedroom and pounces on her or tugs on her ear. His chewing habit is getting stronger so I don't imagine Snuggle Puppy would survive if I gave him unfettered access, but she is a great nighttime companion.
shhh . . . baby sleeping. . .
Decided to let my ‘dog’ghter’ review this (see her in attached image). Five paws! I mean, stars! I was thankful to find and purchase this. Have given Great for new-furbaby gifts, too! Worked every time. Without fuss. No sleepless nights with endless heartaching whining, nor whimpering. Note: She was crate-kept through night, in puppyhood. WITH her “Snuggle pup” bunkmate. Highly recommend. Five stars!
Snuggle Pup a big hit!
I had a singleton litter in December. This was a first for me. I am accustomed to seeing all my puppies in a big warm pile after they nurse. I felt bad for my little girl when she had to be alone. She did not appear stressed, but I was! She took to this toy right away and lay on top of it. It was a win-win for both of us! I did not buy any heat packs. The heart beat alone was enough for her.
