We bought two of these for our two terrier mixes. They are about 1 year old. One of them has chewing issues (eating things he should not) and someone recommended a lick mat to help curb the chewing instinct. He used it once and it was good, but today the one with the chewing issues ate two corners off the mat. Only had it for about 10 minutes. Good thing it is non toxic. These are small dogs, but the mat is very flexible and not at all good for chewers.
Just spread a tablespoon or two on the mat- keeps them busy for a few minutes and cleans up quickly. Very sturdy
I should really. have paid attention to the measurements, so my review is partly my fault. The mat is so small and fragile that the intended dog would have had it in pieces in no time.
it holds a good amount of spread, not too much to give them an upset stomach but enough that it will take them a while to lick clean. One of my dogs is very picky about food so she'll only lick peanut butter off of it, and she gets bored easily but the other one will eat anything haha
