Sofa-Scratcher Furniture Protector Squared Cat Scratching Post

Not stable

The plexiglass base for the bottom does absolutely nothing to stabilize this. My large, strong cats are going to knock this over or refuse to use it. Really disappointed since it's one of the only options to protect sofa arms from being torn up. Spent way too much for how cheaply made it is.

Perfect solution!

I am so glad I bought this couch corner protector/scratcher. I have one cat who has claimed almost the entire apartment as her territory, leaving the other cat with just the couch to herself. I didn't want to punish her for scratching it, since it's her instinct to mark her safe space, but I also didn't want her doing anymore damage to the couch either. Cue this thing, which was easy to put together and slid right under the couch leg as promised. She was a little unsure of it at first and I was afraid she wouldn't take to it at all (she prefers cardboard scratchers), but by day 3 she was digging her claws in just fine. It's been a few months since then and the scratcher is holding up well, I expect it to last a long time. She's an average sized 11lb cat and goes to town on this thing at least once a day, but it doesn't seem to shift or move at all. My couch is really light and isn't supported by a wall, meaning it tends to shift around over time, but because the scratcher is so light I have no trouble repositioning it when I need to. Overall an EXCELLENT purchase which I highly recommend.

Exactly what we needed/leather couch

I was having the hardest time finding a product that would work for the shape of our couch, and was safe for leather. These are perfect. They don’t look too bad either. I like that once we install our new floors, I can peel the sticker off of the piece that goes under the couch foot, so it will barely be noticeable. Highly recommend.

Works on a sofa

This actually worked as far as protecting my sofa. I put it over the corner of the sofa section he kept clawing and he seemed happy using this post rather than the sofa part. I didn’t have any trouble with it falling over either and Patches is a big cat(17lbs.)

Great but wrong texture

It fits perfectly with our couch, incredibly sturdy and a great color. Unfortunately (possibly my fault?) the fabric wasn't what I was expecting. My cats didn't care for the scratchy feeling and they've quickly returned to scratching our soft couch.

Saved Our Couch

Pleasantly surprised with this scratcher. We've had other scratching posts near our couch, but our cat continued to scratch the couch instead. As soon as I put this up, our cat is always using it instead. He LOVES it.

Bought this with the hope that it would be sturdy enough and hold well to the couch, and boy does it! It took a minute to put together and then just slid right under the corner leg of our couch. Cats love it and our couch is saved!

Not as sturdy as I thought it would be.

The color I ordered matched almost PERFECTLY with the color of my sofa and I was even going to purchase 3 more even though the cost was a little high. It is very easy to set up/install. Unfortunately mine broke in about 1 weeks time. I had moved my sofa back a few inches and the scratcher bottom broke completely and now unusable.

Awesome Product

Smart idea - this corner post!! It’s minimalist and unobtrusive. Looks good with my sofa. My cat went right to it! We’ve had it for about a year and my cat has decided that he wants to scratch the other sofa arm so we ordered second one!

works short-term

I purchased this Oct 2021 and about a month ago the post became detached from the spokes at the bottom. Bummed that it came apart in about a year and a half, but it's a necessity for my cat (and my furniture) so I will be buying another one. Hopefully this one can take a bit more scratching and lasts a bit longer!
