How to remove the caps? My cat doesn't like them very much.
Answer by ChewyJun 09, 2018
If your cat or dog's nail caps do not fall off by 8 weeks you will want to manually remove them by simply trimming the tip of the nail cap, being careful not to cut into the quick, and then applying slight pressure to the base of the nail cap as if massaging it.

How long do these last on the cats nails for And were would I get the type of glue for it and how do I glue it on to the cat
Answer by ChewyNov 13, 2017
Each application lasts four to six weeks, and each kit comes with a four to six-month supply. It features an easy application with a safe and non-toxic glue which is included. The glue is placed within the Cap and then placed over the cats nails.

Will my cats be able to comfortably stretch their muscles on their scratching post with these on? It's important for their mental and physical health to be able to do that. I see them stretch out their arms scratching all the time when I pet them.
Answer by ChewyMay 21, 2018
These nail caps will not interfere with normal claw extension and retraction.

can my cat still go outside and resume normal activities? He's a very good kitty and but doesn't have patience with my 9 month old and continues to scratch him.
Answer by ChewyJun 10, 2021
It is recommended that Soft Paws only be applied to cats who live indoors for the safety of the cat. The vinyl nail caps help prevent the scratching damage that is caused by the cats’ claw, but also reduce their ability to defend themselves. When a cat is outdoors, he/she may be faced with a predator and the capped nails will impair his/her ability to defend themselves.

Excellent invention!

While trying to introduce a new cat into an established 3 cat home, one of the established cats absolutely hated the new cat, to the point of cornering him and attacking him with her claws. Well my neighbor, another cat lover told me about the soft claws so it turned out to be a real lifesaver, she can no longer scratch the new cat or the furniture or do damage to anything. But she can still do everything else she’s always been able to do. He claws are now soft but still retract and do not affect her quality of life one little bit. I’m so grateful for this perfect solution to a stressful problem. Problem solved, no more separating cat, no more stress! Great product and I highly recommend it!

Love these!

Easy to put on, if your cat lets you cut their nails- they’ll let you put these on. With the glue they stay put decently well, and my cat doesn’t seem to mind at all. We did front & back claws- and lost one within a week. Worth it for a kitty who needs them.

Not worth it

I got these because my cat wanted to scratch the new couch. They worked for a while. Then she had 1 that didn't come off.after 12 weeks. It finally came off with part of her nail attached. I won't be buying these again. It's not worth the risk.

Absolutely awesome!!!!!

My cat Travis loves to knead my arms and my hair, and has occasionally gotten my face with his claws. He let me put them on so easily! They've been on 2 weeks now and he's paid them no attention at all! We're both very happy with them!

Not true to size

I have been buying nail caps for years for my feline friends, very disappointed in the sizing of them. I purchased large in red, they were way too big and needed to clip them down. So I purchased medium this time, none of them are even big enough to cover the claw half way! Very disheartening since they are not cheap.

Cat Caps usage

Amazing idea, but to actually put on a grown cat that has never had anything on their claws, not gonna happen. Best to start as a kitten so they are used to the torment. LOL

Good idea but not in practice

One of the packages (I ordered 3) had glue hardened solid. The other two had decent glue. I took my cats to my Vet as they have experience putting these on. The next day my cats had pulled a few of the caps off and after 4 days about half are off. Complete waste of time, money, stress on the cats and my aggravation!

Cat nail caps

They do keep my cats from clawing furniture and my rugs. They have lots of scratch post but they still hit furniture.
