Right now I’m using this as a topper to argus’ grain free dry food. He loves it! It’s easy to hydrate in water and a batch can be kept in the fridge for up to 3 days. I may transition to a full diet of this raw food once the dry food is gone. Am pleased with it. And so is Argus!

  • Goat not good for gut

    By on

Our dog has a significant list of food allergies, and finding a food with a unique protein that a) she is not allergic to, and b) does not contain potatoes, is a challenge. Although she liked the flavor (thus the two stars), this food apparently had WAY too much filler and she was pooping constantly. We had to return it and move on to something else.

  • Great Food - Great Service

We have a 2 year old mini-Aussie, Jackson, with several food intolerances and is MDR1 positive. The Sojos goat recipe has done wonders for him. It has been a long road finding a food that he enjoys and keeps him happy and healthy. We tried premium brand kibbles and even though many dogs do well on them, they are not tolerated well by Jackson. There is only one place I can buy Sojos goat recipe where we live so Chewy is the best solution for purchasing this outstanding product. We have also fed the beef, turkey and lamb Sojo recipes but the goat and lamb are Jackson's favorites. Sojos and Chewy are great organizations with awesome customer service. High fives all around!!!

We have three dogs, none of them small. They're rescue dogs and they each love this goat recipe. It satisfies them, is easy to prepare and feed.

  • Dogs love it

My newfs loved the goat formula (and the lamb and beef..) I normally feed raw,but this so much easier when traveling. I wish the veggies were finer as they are evident in their poo. The only downside is their output is huge and they would go several times a day. I will definitely buy again.

  • Meh.

If this food had more actual meat then it would be great; however it is mostly filler and my dogs poop sooooo much more on this vs their higher end kibble (1st Mate). Also, the large bag lasted two adult dogs, both 55lbs, just two weeks. Not worth the price, as again, the actual meat content is very, very low...

  • Sojos

The food is said to plump back up from its dehydrated state, it doesn't. The food stays very soupy, which keeps the food very messy. Out of my four dogs of totally different breeds none of them liked it.

  • I like the option of goat as a protein

I love all the Sojo products, but found the Goat formula to be more watery than the turkey, lamb or beef. I think it may be less filling for my pups.

  • Dog loves this food

Our dog has multiple protein allergies. Trying to find something he can tolerate has been difficult, but Sojo's goat formula seems to be fine. We use it as a topper to other food that's grain free and salmon which is the only thing he is not allergic to and his allergy symptoms are disappearing. It's too expensive for us to feed as daily meals. He loves this so much! He jumps around excitedly for his food and licks the bowl clean. I sometimes pick the meat out and give it as a treat because he can't have much else. I would feed this solely to him and our other dog if I could afford to do so, but feeding a lab and a St Bernard this would break our bank account. After this bag we will probably stop for a little while so he doesn't develop allergies to the goat. At least we know we have another go to food so we can rotate. Chewy is a little cheaper than buying it elsewhere, shipping is fast and free over $49, and customer service is excellent. … more

  • My dog ran with her tail down.

My dog ran from it while I was mixing it. I guess I'll have to stick with the beef flavor or chicken that she usually eats.
