Transition Instructions

The transition from kibble to a raw diet should proceed slowly over 7 - 10 days to avoid upsetting your pet's digestive system. Transitioning may take longer for older, sick or finicky pets. To transition, begin with a pinch of rehydrated Sojos added to your pet’s dish, and gradually increase the Sojos serving each day, as you decrease the other food.

    Old-Man Food

By Hugothepug on Jan 1, 2022

Our 13 year old pug recently had several teeth pulled, and while the vet said he could still eat crunchy kibble, he seemed to be having a hard time with it. A friend gave us a little of their Sojos to try, and he seemed to like it. We purchased 3 flavors, and pork has been his favorite. We just mix with equal parts warm water and let it hydrate for a few minutes before serving. Old man loves his mushy stew!

    Worth the price

By Desi on May 13, 2021

My German Shepherd has been having allergy issues for about a year. We finally switched to this food to get rid of all the artificial preservatives and additives that were in kibble. It’s been a couple of weeks and we have noticed an improvement in her skin. Plus she absolutely loves the taste! She never used to care much for her kibble but she destroys these meals.

    High Class American Bully Favorite

By RunnerDuckDelight on Sep 6, 2020

Lindsay via embark testing is an American Bully 3 years old and a fancy eater. Raw egg, healthy table scraps, though I needed a dog food. Ziwi peak is his favorite, though with it’s hefty price tag for such a large 75lb bull, we have tried countless other dog foods and have found only Sojo to be a new family favorite vs others.

    Life changing food!

By Robinawitz on Jun 11, 2020

My young yellow lab was gaining weight and slowing down. We changed from a canned wet food to Sojos Complete freeze dried food. My dog's weight dropped from 106 lbs to 85 over the course of 6-9 months. (No other changes to his diet or movement.) He also had more energy and a healthier coat. This food was life-changing for him. He is now almost 12 and even the vet is amazed at how well he is doing for his age. HIGHLY recommend Sojos!!!

Rated as one of the Best Freeze-Dried Raw Dog Foods (HHP used)

By SouthernLady on Feb 20, 2020

Sojos utilizes High Pressure Processing technology in their manufacturing process. This means that any pathogens such as e. coli, listeria, and salmonella are killed. Remember, freeze-dried raw dog foods are obviously from RAW meat. The pathogens will still be present if contaminated in the first place. Some companies do NOT use this kill step. Sojos I am glad to say if a SAFE, pathogen free dog food.

    No more kibble!!

By RoseB on Oct 13, 2019

After almost three frustrating years, searching for premium grade dry dog food, toppers and canned food for the overweight min-pin I took responsibility for, I found Sojos dehydrated raw dog food at Chewy. Not only has he lost weight, but his digestion is what it should be: normal, firm poops! I rotate Sojos products with the Mix-A-Meal, to which I add a protein of my choice, with Sojos Wild Salmon and Boar, and now added the pork Complete to my rotation.Excellent food, and all available at Chewy's. Who could ask for more!

    Decent raw diet

By NeoMastiffMom on Jul 3, 2019

No way is a 7lb. bag equal to 40lbs of food. One bag doesn't last my dog a month and she used to eat 35lbs of good quality dry food in a month. I also mix another raw diet with her food too. After consulting with my vet I changed to a raw diet. Sadly she's a big older dog and is having problems holding her stools. Raw diet is solid and doesn't smell (as bad) so clean up is much easier. There's a lot of controversy of raw grain free diets but considering my dogs age she will not be on this for a very long time. I mix this food with another more expensive raw diet. I only chose this because of the lower price. It's an ok diet and she doesn't dislike the taste. I recommend this food for the price No way is a 7lb. bag equal to 40lbs of food. Sojo's Complete pork

By Turtle on Jul 3, 2019

This is a good product. Takes a little longer to hydrate than some of the others I have tried and has a bit more calories, but my dog loves it just the same as the others. I just use a little less per meal and hydrate at least 24 hrs. ahead of time and store in frig. until ready to use.
