The transition from kibble to a raw diet should proceed slowly over 7 - 10 days to avoid upsetting your pet's digestive system. Transitioning may take longer for older, sick or finicky pets. To transition, begin with a pinch of rehydrated Sojos added to your pet’s dish, and gradually increase the Sojos serving each day, as you decrease the other food

They changed the Sojo's original formula -- don't buy
By Cindy on Nov 26, 2018
I used this product for 12 years; mixed it with raw ground turkey and water, and my dogs (several through the years) LOVED it -- but this last shipment was different -- for one thing, they removed pecans and added carrots -- maybe other changes -- and my dogs have solidly refused it for 2 weeks. I thought maybe they would get used to it but they hate it and absolutely will not eat it. So sad.

Oatmeal with a blend of herbs and spices?
By James on Oct 13, 2018
One of my dogs is finicky. He loves the full version of Sojos, but it costs too much for us. We've had luck using the beef recipe mixed in with his regular dry kibble, and I thought perhaps this meal starter would be like the beef or turkey recipes with of course the beef or turkey removed. Not so. This stuff is basically just oatmeal with a secret blend of herbs and spices. It definitely does not work for us.

GOOD STUFF
By Lena on Aug 30, 2018
I been using this mix on and off for years. I used it for dogs with terrible allergies and chronic ear infections (my own dogs & foster dogs) This food cured all of them. Even my vet was amazed. I always used it with raw ground turkey, although now I'm trying it with cooked ground turkey. Sojos is very different from canned/dry dog food so your dog will need time to grow new bacteria in his gut to digest this food. I recommend making the switch slowly.

Not even a sniff
By Scardiary on Sep 13, 2018
I took a chance on this hoping to add to my dogs meals and give them some variety. They will not even sniff at it, much less eat it. I’m sure it’s a good product, but my dogs will not even touch it. It does have a very good smell and texture to it. I tried it with warm water for the soaking and still no interest. Not sure what I will do with a full bag of this, but lesson learned!

Soup de Soup

I have Alaskan Malamutes, they absolutely love the Soup! I add rice and mashed potatoes for a nice thick consistency and it's like Grandma's homemade soup!

filler food
By CherieFaerie on Jun 12, 2018
Good amount of product for the price but I find that I need to mix this with other things as well (eg: another Sojos freeze dried powder mix type product). The first time I fed my puppy this he threw up a whole lot of this (he's never threw up any food prior to this incident) and from then on has been scared to eat this when he sees me serving this for dinner. I've had to mix it with other Sojos (not freeze dried meat but powdery mix) and not put too much of this to get him to eat. It is a good 'filler' product for me to get my puppy more full as freeze dried meat can be quite expensive to eat for entire meal but I realize that I may be better off getting Sojos freeze dried raw food as he'll Good amount of product for the price but I find that I need to mix this with other things as well (eg: another Sojos freeze dried powder mix type product). I know this is meant to be as a mix/base but it just ends up being a bit of a hassle trying to think of what to mix this with. This product from Sojos just didn't really work for me as well as the other Sojos I've purchased. … more

good stuff
By vrb1 on Jun 19, 2018
I wasn't sure how big this bag would be and it's huge! But I put a little in a container in the cupboard and the rest in our freezer, so we'll use it! We mix this up with a little raw hamburger for our 20-lb Dachsund-Terrier mix and it keeps her happy & healthy! We get the burger in bulk and freeze it into "dog balls" so we always have some handy. We put the mix in a bowl with water when we go to bed, along with a "dog ball" and it's ready for her in the morning.

One of the best on the market
By DrscoDog on Jun 24, 2018
I've used this on and off with feeding the bones and raw food diet to my dogs over the last 10 years. I keep coming back to sojos, there simply isn't another line of food this good and this versatile.
