So far it's a hit
My golden does best on high protein/low carb food with a moderate-high fat content. Switching to a low-carb food eliminated her yeast issues and helps with seasonal allergies. I've been feeding Orijen Six Fish but decided to start mixing it 50/50 with Solid Gold BATM to reduce the overall cost. The BATM is super high in protein for dog kibble (41% as fed / 45% dry matter basis). Yes, some of the protein is from pea protein (third ingredient), and plant sources aren't typically as bioavailable as meat, but a higher percentage of the protein comes from the ocean fish meal (second ingredient), with beef and eggs also contributing to the protein total. The remainder of the ingredients are great, so overall, I'm very happy with the formula and the price point is fantastic. OG didn't have any issues transitioning to the 50/50 mix, no gastric changes at all, and she's just as excited for meals with the BATM blended with the Orijen. She also enjoys eating bunny poop, so her enthusiasm has a low bar. NOTE: the kibble size is actually quite small so little dogs can easily eat this too.
No more itchies!
Finally a food both my boys love and no more biting paws and keeping mom up all night with constant scratching with my 18 year old doggie!!! My little one doesn't have that problem, but I don't want it to develop either! I tried everything...oatmeal baths...anti itch sprays...emu oil...nothing worked! The vet finally said that he probably developed an allergy to chicken over the years...duh....only after $100's in anti itch stuff...sleepless nites...and my poor old man suffering! This is only the 2nd bag, but so far so good...and best thing is they both are eating good !!!

Working out great for our German Shepard with allergies
Our German Shepard has allergies and gets very yeasty ears and is just overall itchy on most other foods we have tried. So far this food has really helped his ears clear up and hes so much less itchy! Not to mention he loves it (however he eats anything.....food or not food) This is our second bag of this food and so far so good! I had heard good things about this brand, so Im glad i gave it a try!
Bag was ruined
When I got this bag of dog food it was split open in the box I had to throw it away.
Rescued Bulldog with skin issues
My rescued bulldog started putting on weight immediately and his itching and scratching got much better right away. I def will buy this again.
good for GSD
My GSD is a picky eater but he eats in controlled amounts with this food. His coat is so soft after switching to this and his feces look how they should look for a big dog. So glad I did some research and found this good food for him.
The whole package getting ferment
I had ordered the brand "Solid Gold" for my dog as usual month supply . Got it shipping a week later on 12/4/2020... I open its bag a few days ago, seeing this bag having lots of disintegrating slag from the whole bag...I am scared feeding my dog considering with the sickness happened after eating those. I went to buy the new bag from the pet store with the same brand. It is nothing disintegrating slags as so......Just how disappointing its happed from this order online.
Pups love this food!
We keep dog food in rotation, so it's never boring for our pups and in case there is a dog recall then we haven't relied on just one food. We recently added this food into our favs and now it's a new favorite of our five pups. Chewy, thank you for great quick delivery!
Exelent Food
Aragon loves this food. We change to this food because the one we were feeding Aragon was making him too gassy LOL! We just start it ordering the food with Chewy and is amazing receiving the food at the door!
