Awesome goodness
Nala is very old and picky and she LOVES this food. Wish it wasnt so expensive. Caught it on sale and glad I did she is really enjoying it.
Fish ingredients
Unfortunately,I didn't read the label closely enough, this has tuna as its second ingredient which is no good for my fussy girl. Whoops. Hopefully I will save someone else from the same mistake.
Great in the right situation
Tried this food for our crew after receiving a couple left over when my parents' senior cat passed away. He had some digestive issues, exacerbated by being abandoned before landing in their local shelter. This food was a game changer for their old man. Upon receiving this new bounty, my crew found it amazing. So I ordered some for them. And a few packages in our 3 yo developed the weirdest rash/hives along the front base of her ears. And it spread. Down her nose bridge and into her ears. So I immediately stopped feeding this and she cleared up. Our vet theorized she is allergic or at least highly sensitive to one of the proteins in the food. No fault of the food, she LOVED it, and she's a picky little diva. So the packages left will be going to one of our local shelters for their kitties. Spread the love.
This is the only wet food they will eat!
We’ve tried other Solid Gold wet food products, in addition to other brands, and the chicken ones are the only ones Winifred and Rose will eat! They go nuts and won’t even wait for me to portion it out before they try to eat out of the container. I’ll let Rose lick the spoon to distract her while i add dry food!
Maybe a Nice Treat for Some Cats
I thought this looked like a unique kind of food for my cats. It is a solid pate style of food with no gravy or liquid. My moderately picky eater would not touch this. If mixed with dry food, maybe it would be a nice treat for some less picky eaters.
Disappointed
Tried the tuna mousse cups first just to see if my two cats would eat it. They're kinda picky in that they really only want broth or gravy (one cat will usually eat the meat bits in food). They're really aren't many products without the meat bits other than pate, which they're also not fond of. So I've been buying mousse and bisque. Anyhow, my first pack of tuna was great. It had a mousse like texture (similar to tiki cats mousse) and my boys loved it, cleaned their bowls. So I went ahead and bought another tuna in addition to three other flavors. So far, both the chicken and chicken liver flavor have had a much different texture. It's basically slightly less dense pate. I have to add a good bit of water and mix around to get it similar to the consistency they like. They still eat it but I'm annoyed that the product seems to vary so much from flavor to flavor. My boys like their bisque packs and I'm hoping that I don't discover any issues with those as well.
unappetizing look and smell
i bought this food after seeing its good ingredients and goatmilk. but when i opened it it was almost a greenish tinted brown and had nor a chicken smell or a milk smell. 2 or my cats barely ate it and the other 2 did not even touch it. however i did like the mousse texture
She Enjoyed It!
I've been feeding an outdoor cat that has a mouth deformity. She struggles with regular canned cat food so I've been giving her baby food too. She loved this. Licked the plate clean. It looked dry so I added some water and stirred. I will get this again.
Would not even try it
My cats are a little picky, but this was the worst yet. Neither one would take even one bite. The texture was also much different than expected. It was not smooth as expected for a "mousse." Instead it looked dry. Deceptively labeled.
Little disappointed in food
I have 2 cats that are somewhat picky so they wouldn't eat this food at all! However Chewy took care of that for me! Chewys the best pet care company I've EVER had the pleasure of doing business with! I wouldn't recommend this product for a picky cat though.
