Description

Give your pooch a super-treat with the Solid Gold Superfoods Chicken, Coconut & Vanilla Recipe Grain-Free Chewy Dog Treats. Made with protein-packed chicken as the first ingredient and loaded with vitamin-rich coconut and lip-smacking vanilla, these chomp-sized clusters of tastiness are perfect during training or as a snack. To round out the wholesome, grain-free recipe, they also have nutrient-dense lentils, flaxseeds, pumpkin and kelp for a boost of goodness in every nibble. Plus, since they’re soft and chewy, they’re easy to chew and also great for senior dogs with sensitive teeth.

  • Definitely NOT Soft or Chewy

My 10 pound Papillon granddog underwent 13 dilations to break up a stricture in her esophagus caused by getting a raw hide chew stuck in her throat. She still gets easily choked so I spent a great deal of time on the Chewy site trying to find good quality treats that would be big enough that she would be forced to bite off pieces and chew them thoroughly (vs. gulping whole) but also soft enough on her tiny little teeth. The website picture I saw of these Solid Gold treats prior to ordering looked like each treat was a small, flat cookie but now the photo has changed. The photo now, and what I actually received, are like large, hard kibble you would buy for a big dog. The product description also says they are "soft and chewy, they’re easy to chew and also great for senior dogs with sensitive teeth." Believe me, there is absolutely nothing "soft and chewy" about them. These are so hard, I couldn't even cut them with a knife! It would take a hammer to break them up in pieces. Not recommended (unless you have a big dog with strong teeth). … more

My Siberian Husky looooves these. I give her 2-3 treats in the morning and she always chooses to eat these first.

  • Excellent treats!

My 10 month old puppy adores these treats! She's 65 lbs of pure muscle and I strive to only feed her wholesome nutritious food/treats. These treats are made with great ingredients although they would be even healthier without the xanthan gum. A little pricey for the size bag, but she LOVES them, so I'll continue to buy them.

  • they're okay

If you have a small dog, you'll need to break the treat up into smaller pieces...except that was hard to do because they aren't that soft nor are they all that chewy... Also, these are kind of expensive for the amount of treats you get. I would not recommend and definitely won't be buying again.

My Siberian husky really loved these treats! She has a sensitive stomach too so I have to be super careful with what snacks I give her.
