Not sure why all the bad reviews. Yes, this product is a bit different, but if you just plop it out of the cup and walk away, I’m sure a cat wouldn’t eat this. However, i just mash & mix it with a fork and BOTH my picky eaters love it! The ingredients, visually, are even very high quality. (Most wet Not sure why all the bad reviews. I give this to my fur kids twice a week, and I can barely get their bowls down before they start chomping away. THIS IS GOOD FOOD FOR CATS, and I hope all the negative-nellys don’t cause Solid Gold to stop making a “wet” food that is FINALLY worth it for cats! … more

I was intrigued by this unique looking wet food and I thought it would be a healthy treat for our kitties, but none of them seemed interested. I tried feeding it as is and they each walked by it after a sniff test. I smashed it up a little bit, a few nibbles at the pate and they walked away again. I ended up mixing it all together, added some water and cut up the stringy chicken even more...they finally, very reluctantly ate it. I'll have to pass on this one, our kitties really didn't like the texture and I guess the smell was not enticing enough for them. And as far as "wet" food goes, this one was very dry so I feel like adding water or a broth would be advisable. … more

My cat loves it!
By Mocha on Aug 7, 2020
My 14 year old cat with IBS loved this. I wasn’t sure when I opened it if he would go for the layers so I broke it up a little. He ate 98% of it. He feels better and has less diarrhea.

Was just horrible
By Darcina on Jul 18, 2020
My cat tried to eat this but it seemed to be extremely hard. He ended up walking away from it. Not sure if it's suppose to be hard as a brick or if it was a bad batch. Either way I won't buy it again.

A little to dry for my felines
By Legrez11 on Jun 16, 2020
It was a bit on the dry side. My cats did eat the shredded chicken but not the later part.

Senior Cat with IBD
By Teena on Jun 8, 2020
I can’t believe it. My 13 year old cat ate it all down to the last drop. He’s missing many teeth and has IBD. I’m wowed by this food. I was so skeptical after reading a few bad reviews. Here’s the thing...cats are picky. Or can be. I don’t think a cat food deserves a bad review if a cat doesn’t eat it. So I tried it for my boy. Glad I did. Came on to order more in different flavors. Thank you lots!

Useful for when you wanna switch up feedings
By puzzletoy on Apr 29, 2020 Top 1000 Contributor
Cats won't go for it on a regular basis but works well intermittently, or mixed w other foods. We feed strays and domestic cats. Folks complaining abt the chickens texture, add warm water! We've always added water to their wet food, it's good practice!

They loved this food!
By LaAtl on Dec 1, 2019
My cats loved this food. Three of them just chewed through. My oldest licked off each layer and savored the bottom flakes.
