    It’s ok but not a 10

    By on

Hi Frank the cat here. Same solid gold brand but I didn’t like this one so much. Maybe it’s the coconut. I’ll eat it if I am hungary but I don’t really like it. I like the other one with goat milk.

    MY cats won't eat it!

    By on

It is a waste of money to 'serve' food that my cats won't eat and I have gone through a lot of 'healthy' cat foods that my cats refused to eat.

    Cats LOVED.

I'm surprised by all the negative review of this food! My cats completely devoured this stuff. I'm talking minutes. If your cat likes softer pates or mousses, definitely give this stuff a try. Consistency: This is a softer pate. It's not quite the consistency of a mousse, but there are no visible chunks, and it's very wet. My cats prefer this kind of pate that they can lap at instead of needing to eat chunks of it. Nutrition: Solid Gold is a great brand, and this food seems to be no exception. It's a bit high in fat but low in carbs. Chicken liver is the first meat ingredient, which is not something that I include in regular rotations for my cats because it can lead to higher levels of vitamins I'm surprised by all the negative review of this food! Definitely something that I'm happy to incorporate into my cats' diets, but not something that I'll feed everyday. … more

    Cat Wouldn't Touch It

    By on Top 500 Contributor

This line of food is usually really good and a favorite in our house because it's so soft but this flavor my cats hate. One just sniffed it and walked away, throwing a glare in the process. The salmon and chicken flavors are a hit. Not sure why they hate this one but after several tries I have to admit they do. I'll donate the rest to my local shelter

    Never Again

    By on

I buy a variety of grain-free canned cat foods. My cat eats this one as readily as she eats the rest, but I will not be buying any more of this particular cat food. I guess it's the coconut oil, but this stuff is impossible to get out of the can. It sticks to the inside of the can and to the lid like no other canned cat food I've tried. "What's the problem?" you may ask? I take my recycling to the dump every other week, and when these cans sit in the recycling for up to 2 weeks they permeate my apartment with the smell of aging cat food. The one time I tried to wash one of the cans with soap and water, I cut my finger on the rim of the can. Never again.

it looks healthy but they won't eat it

    By on

I had to mix it with a can of junk cat food to get them to eat it and they are still not thrilled, one out of three will not even eat it mixed. I am disappointed as I had high hopes and paid a premium price.

    It was worth a try

    By on Top 100 Contributor

I tried this food because I'm always looking for new foods to add to the rotation for my cats. They weren't really receptive to it. Some of them ate a little, but for the most part, it was not a success. I think it's worth a try since I think Solid Gold is a good brand. I like the idea that it contains coconut oil.

My fur babies eat this food up quickly. I am so glad because they need the coconut oil.
