Instructions

  • Promptly wipe up any foreign matter or liquid with a damp cloth or sponge.
  • Fold down for easy storage.
  • Safety side rails are built into the design so your pet can climb up and down with confidence.

Step 1 - position the back leg in the "locked" position: Simply swing out the back leg section (which is folded under the main stair section) until both of the "locking tabs" are engaged in their respective windows in the "locking rib" section. To ease the engagement of the locking tab into the window, press down gently on the "button" on the locking tab arm.

Step 2 - attach stair treads: There should be 4 adhesive-backed tread covers included with your stairs. Working one step at a time, peel the white paper backing off each tread piece and press firmly into the recessed area on each plastic step. Hold pressure for a few seconds before moving to the next piece. Repeat until all 4 tread pieces are installed. Your stairs should now look like the image on the carton.

Step 3 - attach non-slip feet (optional): Attach the rubberized non-slip feet only if the stairs will be used on a slick surface, such as wood flooring. Peel the backing from each piece and press firmly into the flat area at the corners on the underside of the stairs. Repeat for all 4 corners.

  • Good for my elderly kitty

    By on

My beloved kitty will soon be 17 years old and has some arthritis issues. She is having trouble getting up on the bed and onto furniture to cuddle. These stairs are a good height for our beds and the rise between each stair is not too big for her to manage. They were easy to unfold and set up and, although they are foldable for storage and travel, I do not worry that they will collapse under her 12 pound weight. They are very sturdy. I imagine these would be useful for someone who needed to be able to set up and take down stairs on an "as needed" basis, but I leave mine up full time.

  • Great help for shorter dogs!

I bought these steps for my newly-adopted 15-inch beagle to get up onto my elevated, pillow-top bed more easily. I purchased the normal-sized ones versus lite or extra-large. I checked out a ton of stairs before deciding on these. The foam ones with covers had too much give. The dark wood ones would look out of place in my white bedroom, etc. I like how these are foldable if I need to stash them away for cleaning. My dog uses them most of the time. He still jumps up when he’s excited, but now he has the option, because he used to slip sometimes without them. These would also work great on a high couch. … more

  • Stairs great for small dog.

    By on

I actually bought this for my poor little cat who is living in diapers, and can't walk or jump very well. The steps are really not wide enough for her. It would be really perfect for a little dog. I helped my cat up the steps, and she promptly "ran" across the couch and launched herself off the other end. :-) It really is a pretty nifty--inexpensive, lightweight, and folds for storage.

  • Steps too Shallow for Dog

    By on

I was so excited to receive these steps for my dog but they have turned out to be a disappointing purchase. I love that they came assembled but I think the design makes them more unstable than I expected. My dog is a medium-sized dog (about 60 pounds). I bought the extra large set just to be safe but the depth of the steps is too shallow. The tread part is great but if her paw touches the plastic at all it slips and scares her. Maybe these are better for small dogs.

  • Pet Stairs

    By on

I live in a two story house and Missy goes up and down multiple times a day. She is adaptable and learns things easy but these steps are inadequate for a Chihuahua and she will not attempt. They are too small. I am stuck with these steps and will have to destroy or put them in the trash. Other things I ordered are OK.

  • It takes awhile but worth it

    By on

Our 7 yr old dog, recovering from leg surgery, is 37# and heavy for a mature couple to lift onto bed. It took about 8 days for him to finally " give in" and do those stairs up to the bed. They're wonderful for all of us! Saves our backs and our Jynx' independence. Good buy!

  • My Bulldog Loves Them!

    By on

Our Mack loves sleeping with us and has a bit of a problem getting up into our bed. He's almost 3 and a bit hefty to lift onto the bed. These stairs have been the perfect solution! Wish I would have had them sooner. They also work well for us getting him in to the back of our CRV for his grooming appointments every 2 weeks. Perfect height and very stable for being made of plastic. Would have given 5 stars but I have a bit of problem pressing the buttons to close the stairs although now that I have it a few weeks it is getting easier. Seem to catch my fingers in the plastic.

  • Works well, but a little unstable

    By on

These steps do what they're supposed to, and I like that they have a no slip surface on the stairs. However, it is not very stable on hard wood, even with the little no-slip things on the bottom. I ended up sticking a couple 1/4 inch thick pads to the floor for the stairs to push against to make them feel more stable.

  • Perfect product!

    By on

Bought this for a little dog to get up and down from the bed. It is perfect. Training her to use it was easy with treats and loads of praise. Easily folds up for storage or travel. I was concerned about it reaching the bed, but it was the perfect height!
