Promptly wipe up any foreign matter or liquid with a damp cloth or sponge.
The stairs require no assembly. The back legs are held in the open position by means of a wood locking brace, located under the top step. Swing the back leg away from the main stair section until the locking brace falls into position. When the brace is in the locked position, the edge of the brace will overlap the top edge of the leg (see nearby image). Test to make sure the locking brace is in position by attempting to fold the legs back to the main stair section: if they cannot be closed, the brace is correctly positioned. Now place the stairs in the desired location next to a couch, bed, etc. To fold the rear leg section for storage or transport, simply reach under the top step and press up on the wood locking brace to disengage it from the rear leg section.
The stairs arrived within two days of placing the order. The stairs are a very high quality and quite durable. (While trying to teach my 14 year old Westie how to use them I actually went up and down them several times and they never gave under my weight). As they say you can't teach an old dog new tricks so unfortunately I'm left picking Buster up every time he wants to get up on the couch. When calling customer service my call was answered in under 20 seconds of holding. The agent was extremely helpful and friendly and initiated a refund back to my credit card that will post in 3-5 days. Imaging my surprise when I was told to donate the stairs to a charity or a shelter! I won't be buying petThe stairs arrived within two days of placing the order. Pup Does Not Like It
on Feb 9, 2020
I gave this 3 stars because it came in great condition and was easy to assemble. With that being said, my pup did not like these stairs. Also found out she's not a fan of wooden stairs and would rather try to jump than utilize it. The only way she'll get on and off the stairs is if I lure her with treats but other than that, it's a no for her.
Great Pet Steps
on Jan 28, 2020
This is a very solid and elegant set of steps for your pet. They are made very well with carpeting type of material on the tops of the steps. The wood is real and not pre-fab pressboard junk. It is finished nicely. It matches my Mission/Prairie style bedroom furniture very well. I highly recommend these steps for your small dog who can't make it up very high or your older dog who can't make the jump anymore. A Plus...
Great for older pets
on Dec 13, 2019
I bought these stairs for my 17 year old cat Sibyl. She loves sitting on the couch but she's getting a little old to be jumping up and down from that height. As soon as I pushed the stairs against the arm of the couch she knew what to do! She loves to sit and the top of the stairs so she has easy access to the floor. My only criticism is that the cloth steps attract A LOT of pet hair and it's hard to remove. Lint brushing helps but with long-haired pets it can get overtaken pretty quickly. If you have a geriatric pet this is a great product to give them comfortable access to beds and couches, but the upkeep can be a little tiresome.

The stairs are sturdy and look nice in our bedroom. The dogs both use them to go up but so far only one of them uses them to go down. I’m sure with time he will figure it out!
The worst - save your money, time, sanity
on Dec 5, 2019
I received the stairs and found unevenness in the structure of the stairs. I thought I could live with it but as soon as I tried to unfold the stairs I had the upper stair separately in my hand and the bottom stabilizer broke off. I could have built this thing myself and I have no clue about woodwork. Way too cheaply, raggedy made and it deserves to be in the trash and not in someone's home.

Those were great steps that fold up really easy and look nice and support a lot of weight. The downside… I needed to nail rubber feet on so it did not slide around my floor. Probably OK on carpet but I don’t know.
Solved Our Dog's Difficulty Getting on the Bed
on Oct 30, 2019
We have an older, small dog who began having difficulty jumping up on the bed. We bought these steps and, at first, she was reluctant to use them. Then, we offered her a tiny reward treat, holding it above each step as she went up, then giving it to her when she reached the top. It worked! She now uses the steps and will not be hurt falling by trying to jump too high.
wicket loves these stairs
on Oct 9, 2019
This is wicket's second pair of pet stairs. The first set is used in one bedroom for a bed, while the second one is for another bed in another room. He's small, and there are high beds in all the rooms. Jumping down from a higher area looked to be harsh on his shoulders, since animals jump down front first. So, getting the stairs for him has helped with his joints, and gives him a second alternative to getting down from a higher area. These fold, and can be put away in any space perfectly fit for that.
