Overall I like it
I bought this harness because it did not have difficult snap buckles which had become a problem for me to open. I am happy it is easy to get on and off. It is lightweight and fits well on my 50 lb dog. The rolled fleece on the straps that go under my dog's armpits is nice, except we walk in weeds and tall grasses and I have to pick out seeds and burrs after every walk. These straps come up to tighten at the top of the back and you have this extra length of strap that is easily chewed if I dont pay attention to keep it out of reach. This harness is not perfect but it is easy on my hands. I plan on covering the fleece with another material to prevent seeds from sticking.
Sporn harness is secure and comfy
Bowie is very comfortable in his movement while wearing the Sporn harness. It’s cinching feature, tightening around his chest and girth when he pulls, ensures he doesn’t slip right out of it. He has short, stumpy legs, so other harnesses, especially those leading from the front, no matter how seemingly snug, lead to a naked, free BoBo running around! Thank you Sporn for such good craftsmanship. Thank you Chewy for fast shipment and excellent customer service!
not what it claims to be
Packaging states "Stops pulling instantly". Not true, the harness had absolutely no affect on the pulling aspect that my dog has. Does not do what it states on the packaging. It most definitely allows my dog to continue pulling. I would have given this product a zero stars but you have to choose at least one star to have posted comments.
Something changed
I have had two of my dogs in this style of harness for years with no problem. Adopted a new puppy and bought one for him. Within three days, the ring that attaches to the leash broke through the cloth lead with very little force applied.
Harness
We have used these harnesses for all of our dogs. It makes walking them so easy. We have complete control without worrying about hurting them. Very easy on & off. I highly recommend this!
Sporn No Pull Dog Harness
I originally ordered the wrong size and another model, customer service had me donate the one I didn’t need to a dog shelter and helped me order this harness. This product is comfortable for the dog, doesn’t pull his neck and is very secure. Great product! Also, it’s wonderful when a company wants to give back to the community it serves. I will continue to use Chewy.com to purchase items for all my pets!
Sporn Mesh Halter
I am so thrilled that these are back on the market. I bought a similar one over 13 years ago and have not been able to find anything close to it. I now bought 2 more for my other dogs. They are both about 80 pounds and I can walk both of them easily in this harness. LOVE IT!!!
Love it!
No clips. no velcro (those noises scare him). He just steps in. It's not the easiest to get on to but once he had the procedure down.......no problem!
I'm sad
I have purchased this harness 3X from Chewy. The 1st one I bought from a local pet store & it lasted about 3+years & it was a bargain at $9.95. Each time I purchase from Chewy the price goes up & quality goes down. I'm sad, just bought one in July & it just broke today, my dog is 7 1/2 years old & is out of the pull & tug stage so this shouldn't happen after a month & 1/2 of use. Just went to purchase replacement & it's $7 more than in July...I'm sad...
Design and Durability
I have had 2 of these harnesses and love the soft underarm design and the longer lead HOWEVER the adjuster button on both harnesses broke after 2 months. Also, it does nothing to stop our dog from pulling. Until they improve the button we will not purchase again! Way to expensive for poor durability!
