For Adult dogs, feed Sport Dog Food either dry or moistened with water. Begin with the recommendations provided above and adjust to maintain body weight. We recommend feeding your dog at least twice a day. The feeding chart above is the total amount of food we recommend for the day. Divide the total by the number of feedings you will provide your dog.

Reproduction: Provide increasing amounts of food the latter half of gestation. The amount may be twice the normal intake. Feed to consumption during lactation.

Growth: Introduce dry food around the 5th week.

Always provide a source of clean fresh water. Feeding amounts listed are based on an 8 oz. standard measuring cup.

Transition Instructions

When switching your dog’s diet, we recommend that it be done gradually over a 10-14 day period.

    Great for my Dog!

    By on

My dog has a list of food sensitivities that is a mile long. My biggest challenges have been flax, which is in almost every other dog food created and peas since it is often a substitute for grains. Plus, no canola oil!! This food is a great limited ingredient diet that does not upset his stomach or digestive system and he likes it!

    Almost perfect

    By on

Loved the idea of this food. My dog loved it (at first) and it helped her put on some weight. Then, all of the sudden she would not go near it. I tried broth, I tried cheese, she would lap up the broth or lick the cheese off the food and ignore the kibble. My pup just doesn’t like it anymore, but otherwise was very good quality.

Dog did not like this food but great health benefits

    By on

I bought this food because of the great health benefits it has to offer but unfortunately my dog won't go anywhere near it. He was eating it (but not all) when I was mixing with his old food. I thought this might just be due to the higher calorie count. But he stopped eating it entirely when I went to 100%. Worth a shot for the health benefits but wish I could buy it in a smaller bag to test out first.

    Kibble is too small

    By on

I bought this based upon it being for sporting breeds. I have two Vizsla's. When the product arrived and I opened, the kibble was the size for a puppy. My dogs have been gagging every meal because the kibble is too small. Won't buy again. Plus, the one doesn't like the taste of it. I have to put broth over the top.

LOVE this dog food formula-Sport Active Series Field Dog Chicken & Sweet Potato! Had trouble putting weight on our young dogs. After feeding this a couple of months they are in great weight and great coat! Wonderful product with no phytoestrogens. Especially important for those of us who are breeders!
