  • giving us scraps?

For starters I had an auto ship for the same brand of dog food just a different kind and I didn't know it was out of stock till 3 days before it was supposed to ship out only because I looked to make sure it was going to come. So I had to scramble to find another dog food that my dog could eat. So I decided to give this food a try. When I got this food my dogs of course loved it, but the more I started to feed it, I realized that there are like 3 different sizes of kibble in this bag. So I wonder if the lid company just ran out of everything and just got desperate to fill orders. I personally don't appreciate it because I worry that they mixed flavors of foods just to fill the bag and I have For starters I had an auto ship for the same brand of dog food just a different kind and I didn't know it was out of stock till 3 days before it was supposed to ship out only because I looked to make sure it was going to come. So my question to you is how are you going to fix this? … more

  • Great Food

One of my golden retrievers has extreme food sensitivities. This food has been great! Both dogs had some trouble adjusting to it so I FB messaged the company. They responded immediately and pointed out I was feeding my dogs too large of servings! (I was basing serving size on their previous food) When I decreased the serving size they both did great.

  • Mixed Results

Tried this formula because Chewy was out of the whitefish formula. We have a Mastiff and a Dogue de Bordeaux. Both dogs will eat any kind of food I put in front of them but I like to give them the best quality that is still reasonably priced. I really like the concept of SDF, small company using American sourced ingredients and non-gmo. I have been searching for 2 years for a food that will cut down on our Mastiff's shedding. A couple of the foods I've tried did actually help his shedding but the flip side was loose stools. He has had no problem with loose stools on the SDF. I can't comment yet on the shedding as we are still just on our first bag of food. Our Dogue de Bordeaux has NEVER Tried this formula because Chewy was out of the whitefish formula. He likes it very well but his digestive system does not, even though I transitioned them both very slowly. May be the beef protein since he normally eats either chicken or fish. Since I've had mixed results on this formula, I will try the whitefish and see how they do on it. That is, if Chewy gets it back in stock and can keep it in stock. If I can't reliably get it, I will have to go back to another brand. One other thing I'm not too sure about, is the bag of food they're on is extremely crumbly. I've noticed that in some other high quality brands as well. Don't know if that's a bad thing or not, I just would prefer for the kibble to be well formed without so much crumbly stuff. … more

  • Great Food

    By on

I've been feeding Taste of Wild for years and it did a great job and all my dogs did well eating it. I thought I would try this food because a lot of the ingredients are freeze dried and sprayed on the basic food/meat nugget. This eliminates the high temperatures that effect the vitamins etc in the ingredients list. My dogs are doing well eating less food.

  • Absolutely amazing

My dogs absolutely love this food. High quality ingredients with no white potatoes or peas! I have noticed a huge difference in their coats and stool since changing to this food. I highly recommend it.

  • sport dog extreme disappointment

Despite gradually increasing the amounts fed, this food has caused constant scratching, yeasty ears, runny goopy eyes, and ongoing diarrhea. It has been a huge disappointment and costly allergy treatment

  • Love this food !!

This food is amazing. My 3 working German shepherds are eating less food than with Victor they were previously on, and their poops are half the size! Great muscle tone, shiny coats, and they LOVE it. I just wish it was consistently in stock!

Love the ingredients but had to buy the large breed because they were out of my regular ALS product. Shipping was spot on!

  • Love it but..

My dogs absolutely love the food, and I was liking the price when it was like $65, but then it went into the $70s. That's the only reason I gave it four stars.

Still searching for the perfect food for a Newfie puppy. Seemed like an excellent choice; however, still need to add to food to encourage eating
