  • I seem to have one picky eater.

I've been feeding sportdogfood since September and my show and hunting Britt's are doing great on it. Less gas (from all but my second oldest who you'll later see), I'm feeding less to keep weight on (1 1/4 cups less than I was on the last food I fed), coats are great, naturally leaner muscle and my oldest Britt, who turns seven on the 21st has more energy. Even my recent litter of Brittanys was started on this food this fall and at least the pup I've kept is eating it still. My girls love the food and would go out of their way to get to the elite beef formula from the puppy pen. My oldest Britt loves this formula, her youngest daughter likes it when she stops moving long enough to eat it. Her oldest daughter though... Not so much. I think she's just not a whitefish formula kind of dog, and I don't think it's agreeing with her stomach, but the dogs I have that are eating it enjoy it! So my only suggestion is if you're not sure your dog will like the formula get the smallest bag and try it that way! Save yourself some money in case your dog doesn't like it, because not always will every protein agree with a dog, but it's not the end of the world. … more

All 3 dogs love this food. We switched from Nature’s Logic, which was wonderful at first then 2 of my 3 dogs refused to touch it unless starving. Even then they just picked at it. When the bag ran out we tried Sport Dog Elite and their appetites are back! We’ve tried beef and whitefish and they scarfed down both. My underweight dog has put on pounds and looks healthy again. No allergy reactions, no upset stomach, no loose stools. I was worried because we didn’t slowly switch over, but they adjusted with no issues. Now the problem is finding Sport Dog in stock. Chewy has been out for a month and the company only ships to select states, CA not included. I’m dreading going back to another brand All 3 dogs love this food. • So far so good!!

I have been buying top quality limited ingredient & grain free dog foods for my sensitive, allergy prone dogs for years. I have never heard of Sport Dog Food, but I must admit I was very impressed with the ingredient list which boasts no corn, no soy, no wheat, no GMO's, and made in the USA!! I decided to give it a try. I am still in the "transition" phase, but my dogs seam to really like it! So far I am very pleased!! My only small complaint is the small kibble size!! My dogs are all larger breeds, ranging from 55-85 lbs. This kibble seams to be made for small dogs, which I find odd because all of the "working breeds" they claim to cater to are larger breeds. this food has everything in it i wanted and contains none of the ingredients i am opposed to. no white potato, peas of any fashion, tomato pomace, wheat , soy, corn. peas seem to be all the rage now. cheap form of protein. some foods contain it in 4 different ways in the ingredient list. this food is really clean on the ingredient list and my dogs love it.

  • Problem Solved

Zelda was having digestive difficulties with Pioneer Pork Dry Dog Food. We switched her to a fish based diet which has helped in the past with her skin allergies. She doesn't LOVE the new food, but that's O.K., she can afford to lose a few pounds. She eats it & has had no more tummy trouble. Thank you Chewy for the refund & for truly caring about your clients furbabies.

  • Something my picky Akita actually likes

    By on

I wasn't familiar with this brand so I was sceptical at first to use it. When the package arrived 2 days later after I ordered it I gave my 120 lb, picky Akita Maximus a sample of it. He loved it and has been eating it every day for about 2 weeks now. His stools are always a challenge, but seem ok with this product. Seems like we found a replacement for the brand that he was eating before.

  • Love this food!

This food has done wonders for my dogs. Beautiful, healthy skin and coat. Maintains nice weight, just be sure not to overfeed, as it is a dense food. Love the ingredients, especially no peas! Have also fed the Performance formula and was impressed with the energy and muscle tone. Currently trying the Power.

  • Why is it not in stock!?!

    By on

I have had a heck of a time trying to find a pea free, grain free, limited ingredient dog food for my ultra sensitive lab. I have gone through bags of food, at least 15 or more, trying to find something that works for him. I LOVE this food...went to place my order today for our second bag and it's not available. Really??? I am SO angry right now. Why the heck offer a food you can't keep in stock??

  • great dog food

    By on

I switched my German Shepherd puppy to SDF Elite Whitefish about 6 months ago and he has done great on it. I spent hours researching dog food and am so happy I found this brand. He was having problems with allergies and since the switch he is no longer having issues. His coat is shiny and his stools are formed and never runny. I have contacted the company with questions and for recommendations and I was amazed at the quick response and outstanding customer service.
