Spot Farms Chicken & Whole Grain Recipe is formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO Dog Food Nutrient Profiles for all life stages including growth of large size dogs (70 lbs or more as an Adult).
*Measured in Dry per Day. We suggest dividing the daily amount into 2 servings. Your indvidual dogs needs will vary with age and activity. For puppies serve up to 50% more than the amounts listed. For pregnant or nursing dogs you may feed up to 2 - 3 times listed amounts. For dogs over 100 lbs please add 1/4 cup for every 10 lbs over 100 lbs. Food that has been rehydrated, but not fed, may be refrigerated for up to 2 days.
To Mix: Add 1.5 parts warm water to 1 part dry food. Stir and rehydrate 2 - 3 minutes, then serve!
As with starting any new diet, you should introduce our food to your pet gradually, over a period of five to ten days depending on your dog’s specific needs and sensitivity. This is especially true for dog’s making the change from a processed diet of kibble or canned food. If you are currently feeding your dog a raw or home cooked diet, you may be able to transition your dog more quickly, over a period of two to four meals.
We suggest starting by adding a small amount of Spot Farms Dehydrated (after mixing with water) to your dog’s current food, and then gradually increasing the amount of Spot Farms Dehydrated while decreasing the amount of your dog’s current food each day. Transitioning your pet in this way will give your pup’s digestive system time to become accustomed to their new diet.

what a waste
By magicaldinnerdust on Mar 20, 2020
okay so I bought this like 3 months ago. we wanted to like it so bad because it's pretty expensive. my dogs poop was way softer than normal the entire time we tried to eat this. it was a complete waste of money for us. not only that but it looks like a liquidy lump of poo. she was not a fan of texture. great ingredients poor reality.

Love Spot Farms
By Kelly on Feb 5, 2020
I love Spot Farms dehydrated dog food! My dogs love it too! I used to feed Honest Kitchen and my dogs started having issues with runny poop off and on. I contacted Honest Kitchen and they said it was due to the fact I was adding too much water to their product, not the case! I researched and found Spot Farms and have been happy ever since! My 3 dogs love it and no more issues with runny poop! I do feed in a variety of food and use Spot Farms dehydrated as the main part of their meal. I've seen complaints of it not mixing well, if you use very warm water it mixes up perfectly. I have not had any issues with Spot Farms and have been feeding it to my 3 dogs for over a year now!

Happy tails
By Thorshammer on Feb 7, 2020
I have an older dog that is a pretty picky eater. I've tried most everything. She was pretty much a bag of bones and I was desperate to find anything she would eat. Spot farms (irony-she's a Dalmatian!) Was the answer! She LOVES this stuff! Eats and eats and eats!! Has way more energy now! Everyone comments on how much brighter she looks. I'm so happy to have made her life better. Thanks to spot farms and chewy!

Dogs love this
By Susie on Dec 2, 2019
I mix this with my dogs dry kibble and they absolutely love it. I am able to get them to eat all of their different supplements this way. l like the quality of this over the honest kitchen. This seems to be thicker and looks like chicken when prepared. The honest kitchen seems to have less protein and more vegetables because the food is more watery and had a green color to it.

Good ingredients
By Jersey78 on Dec 1, 2019
I'm giving this 4 Star based on quality and ingredients...however, I really don't like the gel- like consistency once prepared...makes it hard to mix my senior dogs supplements into his food...he likes the food...but I won't buy again.

If You Like Gruel It's Fine
By Beth on Sep 20, 2019
I felt really good about the ingredients and it seemed like an easy way to make my dogs something nice to eat. But the rehydrated bowl of food looks like gruel, and my dogs are not impressed. They pick at it but leave most of it in their bowls, and I can't blame them. If you add the perfect amount of water, it resembles pate. Too much and it's soup, too little and it gums up like a wad of grey mush. I wouldn't buy this again.

love the ingredients
By Penny on Aug 8, 2019 Top 1000 Contributor
Unfortunately I was the only one who loved the ingredients. My Silkey is known to be somewhat picky but my Poochon normally eats anything I put in front of him. No such luck this time. The ingredients and quality of the food was never questionable just my dogs tastebuds may be a bit questionable. I don’t want to give Spot Farms a bad rap because I think it’s wonderful they strive for quality food for our pets. I highly recommend if your dog will eat it the ingredients are awesome. I never had such picky dogs before especially when quality foods are put before them. Also Chewy was great and refunded my money hopefully a dog that will appreciate what he’s being fed will receive this donation of Unfortunately I was the only one who loved the ingredients. Watch out Honest Kitchen here comes Spot Farm.
By Dana on Aug 21, 2019
They are real competition for Honest Kitchen! My pups like it way better. The food hydrated much better and actually looked like chicken, not some green soup. Both dogs like the flavor. I usually have to add something with really good flavor, but with Spot Farm Whole grain chicken, I didn't have to. I'm Happy I now have a choice for human grade food. We are what we eat and so are our fur-babies.

I add a little less water, to make it more thick. Then I fill my dogs kong with it! She loves it!

Empty bowls!
By Longdogmom22 on Oct 20, 2019
My dogs have been picky in the past, leaving some food still in their bowls. Now they are super excited for dinner time and lick their bowls clean!
