Transition Instructions

As with starting any new diet, you should introduce our food to your pet gradually, over a period of five to ten days depending on your dog’s specific needs and sensitivity. This is especially true for dog’s making the change from a processed diet of kibble or canned food. If you are currently feeding your dog a raw or home cooked diet, you may be able to transition your dog more quickly, over a period of two to four meals.

We suggest starting by adding a small amount of Spot Farms Dehydrated (after mixing with water) to your dog’s current food, and then gradually increasing the amount of Spot Farms Dehydrated while decreasing the amount of your dog’s current food each day. Transitioning your pet in this way will give your pup’s digestive system time to become accustomed to their new diet.

I would recommend this to others if they changed the carrots!

    By on

I love the food but I could not recommend the foods until the carrots are fixed. I can deal with the issue but others I do not think they would. The carrots do not desolve. They come out the same as going in. This really should not be. I am finding the same in Fresh Pet foods also. See I have old, middle age. The foods I feed have to be soft, they both are but carrots come out the same as going in in both products change the carrots and I will be happy to tell everyone how great this food is!!!!

I purchased Spot Farms Grain Free Beef, for my dg that has cushings disease. I was hoping that having a high quality food, would help him feel better. After 1 week, his excessive thirst decreased.I mix one half Spot Farms with one half kibble. He loves it and seems to have improved energy. My other dog loves it too. I highly recommend this food for your dogs!

    sunflower seeds??

    By on

This is great food but why do you use whole sunflower seeds?? They DO NOT digest. The carrots aren’t that great either. But I still buy it.

    Cedar Loves it!!

    By on

Cedar loves this food. I even change flavors and he is fine with it. He is not a water drinker so I add 16 ounces of warm water to his one cup of spot farms and mix it. It’s almost like a more liquid oatmeal. He eats it all up!!!

I want to give this 5 stars, but...

I purchased a trial container for my dog to see if she’d like this. I’ve been trying to see if her constant scratching is a food allergy, and I know chicken is a big one. We’ve eliminated chicken from everything so far but her nightly wet. She ate the first serving of the Spots Farm with a little prompting from me, but readily ate the other servings after that. I then ordered the big container and tried two nights in a row to get her to eat it, but without any luck. She actually gagged the one time I held the bowl by her face. So, it’s great ingredients but if my dog won’t eat it, it defeats the purpose. My furkids would only eat it if it was warm and mixed in with a topper or other wet food.

Mixed with wet & dog loves!

    By on

My chocolate 8yr. old lab was dragging so I thought about the food. Stopped dry 2 years ago. Not natural food for dogs. Read up on dehydrated food. Got this. Mix with her can of wet and she is fed twice a day. Hesitant cause some reviews said dogs wouldn't eat. She dances a jig while she waits for me to fix. If I walk away to do something, she barks! Seems to have more pep. And she loves the mixture. My daughter bought for her Mastiff & St. Bernard. She mixed with dry food and they left the dry! Maggie has eaten this mix for over 1 week.

I describe it to my friends as "paleo-keto diet for dogs"

    By on

I care about the food I put in my own body and was hugely irritated with most other dog food brands that put garbage in their formulations I did not want going into my pets. Then I found Spot Farm's grain-free dehydrated products and have been absolutely ecstatically recommending them to every dog owner I know. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for this wonderful product my dogs love and I feel happy and confident in feeding them.
