Transition Instructions

As with starting any new diet, you should introduce our food to your pet gradually, over a period of five to ten days depending on your dog’s specific needs and sensitivity. This is especially true for dog’s making the change from a processed diet of kibble or canned food. If you are currently feeding your dog a raw or home cooked diet, you may be able to transition your dog more quickly, over a period of two to four meals.

We suggest starting by adding a small amount of Spot Farms Dehydrated (after mixing with water) to your dog’s current food, and then gradually increasing the amount of Spot Farms Dehydrated while decreasing the amount of your dog’s current food each day. Transitioning your pet in this way will give your pup’s digestive system time to become accustomed to their new diet.

    Just say NO

This stuff is nasty. Like gooey sludge. Followed directions and becomes thick, gooey nastiness so I added more water, didn't help. Won't buy again. The dog I bought it for wouldn't eat it, but if you have one that eats anything you put in front of them...then at least it won't go to waste. A better option is Addiction.

    Puppies love this food

    By on

My dogs love this food, I add it to the dog food I make and the gobble it down. I switched to another brand due to the price but need to feed this again, they dance for this food. I like the fact it is human grade much better for them.

    Allie like it

    By on

We have been trying different foods lately. Allie has hip dysplacia, and it occured to me that inflammation is the main cause of pain in the body. Food often is a major cause of inflammation. Therefore, try cleaner food and maybe she will have less pain. Human grade food has helped her feel so much better. She really loves another brand but the price was so high, we just couldn't afford it. Tylee's is good, but she picks out the veggies and will often just not eat until she gets really hungry. We tried this one, and she seems to like it so far.

    10/10 from a tough pup!

    By on

My dog is a tough eater, not food motivated, naturally slim, and crazy active. He’s my hiking, running, and any other kind of outdoor activity buddy so I desperately needed something to boost his calories or even just motivate him to eat consistently. I’ve been using the duck formula as a meal topper for his dry kibble and I’ve actually had to take his bowl as he inhaled his food so fast I thought he was going to puke. Pretty pumped to see him get excited for meal times and eat like a starving child! It’s a nice alternative to traditional wet foods as there are way less sugars and a good balance of proteins. I got the duck formula as I found it on sale elsewhere but I will definitely be rotating My dog is a tough eater, not food motivated, naturally slim, and crazy active. Perfect for my Picky Eater!

    By on

We tried sooooo many foods due to my dog because a SUPER picky eater. With every food, she got bored after a few days, or just wouldn't eat it at all. We've been feeding this to our pup for over a year with success. Super easy for me as a pup parent to prepare, and I love knowing that my fur babe is actually getting meals.

    My dogs really love this.

My dogs love this formula. Well, they are labs and goldens but they are not supposed to eat the duck. LOL We use it as a topper for their kibble. I wish Spot Farms would put out the bigger box of this. We will buy this as long as they make it.

    Pleased with product.

I bought this for my female Frenchie. She is brindle and doesn’t seem to have any of the skin and yeast issues her brothers endure. So she seems to like it. The texture is a bit odd to her as we used to feed them store-bought dry mixed with canned food. I add a little pumpkin and/or yogurt and a topper or half of a chopped up hard boiled egg. If she leaves the remainder I just feed it to her by hand (a fingerful at a time). She gobbles the rest of it up. Sometimes I mix in just a little of the boys food as well which helps with the texture. I also try chopping it up so it’s not one big clump. It’s good food, but finding just the right combo to get the best consistency just takes a little time I bought this for my female Frenchie. When I have it I use a powder form of HK Beef Broth and mix a little in as well (about a tspn) which all help texture. Also the boys are on an HK whitefish diet which they get bored with so adding a little of this or their beef food gives them a nice addition to the whitefish. … more
