Can you spray this on your hands and rub it in, as opposed to spraying it on their fur or coat?

It is best to follow the instructions listed on the bottle, its recommend to use a clean, soft cloth to rub down the coat and let it air dry.

Not what I hoped for

I've only used it once. To me it's like wetting your dog with water. There were other more $$ waterless shampoos listed that might be great . And I didn't use as much as I wanted to - that may have been the whole bottle so that would be expensive. Maybe in an emergency situation...I will keep the other bottle on hand but old fashioned shampooing is best for us. I recommend only because it's better than nothing - I guess -
