I think we can agree that both you and your parents don't want you to have an upset stomach (i.e. the runs) when switching over to this really tasty new food. Take it slow, have your mom or dad mix increasing amounts of the SquarePet awesomeness while gradually decreasing the amount of the old stuff for about a week.

I have a Toy Poodle whom has liver issues. I got this as egg is a good protein for such cases. My dachshund ate it just because he lives with the Toy poodle and is a piglet about food. Neither dog will eat this food the second month. Not sure if something changed with how the food is made. I noticed it smelled odd. I got my money back for this last shipment that was received today but the October shipment I did not get my money back. I will donate both bags to the dumb friends league.
I really wanted my dog to like this food. The price point is fair, I like the idea behind vegetarian dog foods with eggs as the main source of protein. I already give my dog left over yolks every morning when making my omelettes and its his favorite. Sadly, though, he will just not eat this food. I find my cat likes taking nibbles from it more than him but mainly just to play with. I have tried mixing his old food in it for a smoother transition, and he quite literally takes a bite of both, then spits out this one on the floor, bit by bit. I put the kibble back in the bowl and my poor boy won't touch it for days and it ends up in the trash. I have fed my dog many plant-based foods in the past that he also didn't like, so granted, my dog is just a very picky eater. He has meat allergies which is why I have tried so many different brands (over 7). I still rated it 2 stars because I believe it can be a great diet for other dogs with dietary concerns, and I still do like what they are trying to do. Not a bad kibble, just wasn't the right fit.
