Description

Prevent squirrels from freeloading on your bird feed with the Squirrel-X X5 Squirrel Resistant Bird Feeder. This metal feeder features a spring-loaded design that instantly shuts every port if a squirrel’s weight is detected on any of the six perches, you can even adjust the central tension spring post to keep bully birds off the feeder! Your beaked buddies can sit, stay and relax on one of the comfortable, round perches that’s been oil-rubbed with a beautiful bronze finish. To clean the feeder simply disassemble it into three pieces, and to refill it easily remove the push-and twist-metal locking lid. The extra tall tube design prevents squirrels from accessing the seed ports from the roof, while the built-in baffle keeps moisture out of the seeds for ideal freshness.

Key Benefits
  • Features an adjustable central tension spring post that allows you to choose the size of bird that enjoys your feeder.
  • If a squirrel or larger bird attempts to break into the accessory, his weight will shut every port to prevent him from eating the feed.
  • Includes 6 rounded comfort perches that can change in length to best suit the birds you are trying to attract.
  • Disassembles into 3 sections for no-hassle cleaning.
  • Crafted in a durable metal, die-cast frame that’s been finished with a beautiful bronze color.

    I guess we’ll see

By Donald on Apr 18, 2021

For the price, I thought there would be less plastic and more metal used in key wearing points. I have a competing product that is much sturdier, and they have sent replacement parts, when needed, free of cost. I am doubtful this product can withstand as much routine wear and tear, and the plastic parts I anticipate will break, can’t be merely replaced. For $52 I had hoped for a sturdier feeder.

    Well built

By DeeDee on Mar 20, 2021

The bird are slowly getting use to the new feeder. The Squirrels can’t seem to get down to the food. I use a wire Pants hanger from the dry cleaners, and hook it to the wire on the feeder. So so far so good, It has only been a week or so.

Highly Recommend but could be made better

By jbjurstrom on Feb 18, 2021

Best I've found to prevent squirrels from getting food. They have tried!! I love the adjustable bird stands that pull out for larger birds. Birds love it. I do through out some nuts on the other side of the deck so squirrels tend to go there but still try to feeder.. no luck

    Birds Love It, Squirrels Baffled!

By SWMBO on Sep 9, 2020

We bought this and another model feeder knowing that we have a squirrel in residence out back. While it took the birds a couple of days to warm up to this model, we have a great video of the squirrel being defeated in his effort to get a snack.

    fancy Complex squirrel feeder.

By JCVD on Sep 21, 2020

Our birds love it, and so do the squirrels. They’ve chewed the little lids, and have cracked the code on getting the seed. Pro: It cleans easily.

    Nice feeder

By Jackie on Sep 4, 2020

This is a very nice feeder, a bit expensive, and it does keep squirrels at bay, however I cannot hang it high enough in order to reach it so that the deer don't invade it. Most mornings they have conquered it yet again.

    No Good!!!

By Jason on Sep 8, 2020

Not happy with product. The $10 bird feeder I had from Chewy was great and the birds would gather on it. The birds do not like this design. Don’t buy this bird feeder. It’s not worth the money

    Great bird feeder. Squirrel proof!

By Patricia on Jul 11, 2020

I bought one of these feeders to try because squirrels ransack my old feeders and deplete them in a few hours. The squirrels initially tried get into these, but gave up after a few tries.I have since bought three more to replace all my feeders. No squirrels, and lots of birds! They are exactly what I wanted.

    Good stuff

By BackyardBirdwatcher on Jul 18, 2020

Good looking, well made, clever design. It has been deterring my tribe of neighborhood squirrels since it went up. If you don’t read the directions as I may have done - the little eye hook looking bird platforms can be extended and then shortened again. Clever design.
