    Extends your feed

    By on

I have been using Standlee beet pulp pellets for over 10 years! Not only does it prevent colic but it extends your feed and keeps the weight on your old guys! You need to soak the pellets for at least 45 minutes. I prefer the pellets to the shreds because there is less molasses and it stores better than shreds which attracts ants! The horses love it on top of their feed! Just put a 1/2 cup of the pellets per horse in a bucket and pour water 2 inches over the pellets and soak. My horses have it once a day!

    Beet pulp pellets

    By on

Compact and very easy to measure and feed. Stores very well. The compact pellets travel well, which is a big help in limited space. Oddly, two of the four horses we feed would not eat it. Not too surprised by the one as she doesn't like change. My gelding, though, typically eats anything put in front of him. I can only surmise that there is something added in the processing to form the pellet shape he didn't like.

Loved my set up until unannounced price hike!

    By on

I have a 37 year old horse who is doing great on soaked beetpulp and alfalfa pellets. I had a wonderful set up where I had both these items delivered to my door every two weeks on payday for months. Then suddenly one day out of nowhere, the price on this particular item more than doubled. And the manufacturer is not the problem because I can buy the exact same product anywhere else for the normal price. Unfortunately I had to cancel my auto ship with Chewy. I keep checking for the price to go back to normal but so far, no such luck. The complaint is not with the product, it's the crazy price hike without warning.

    Horses and Donkeys love it

I do soak the pellets before mixing it in with their grain. Never a morsel left in their feeders.

    Excellent Feed but Overpriced Here

    By on

Excellent feed we soak daily for our senior horses to add to their grain!! Can't beat the convenience of being delivered to your barn-door when the price is the same or better! Wish more horse feed was carried by Chewy. Sadly price increased over 75% without notification beyond my regular auto-ship email!! Lesson learned that I need to check prices monthly, they are NOT always the same and a special notice will NOT be sent if there happens to be an increase. I will be returning to my local feed store for this item!

Loved it until it doubled in price.

Great product and excellent delivery. Unfortunately it nearly doubled in price and became unviable. Too much packaging had to drive the cost up. So sad to see it out of reach.

Our horse loves her beet pulp! Chewy makes it even easier with to our door shipping. Love that they have expanded horse options and now have her beet pulp on an autoship. Thanks Chewy for making my life that much easier!

Used to always buy beat pulp from Chewy, but now the price is extraordinary out of line with the prices at feed stores!
