Why is this green?...a color dogs supposedly can not see.
Answer by ChewyFeb 25, 2018
Unlike humans who have three different color sensitive cone cells in their retina (red, green and blue) dogs have only two (yellow and blue). This does not mean that dogs can't see green or red objects. It only means that they can't distinguish green, yellow or red objects based on their color.

Can anyone recommend a certain treat for this that won’t dispense easily?
Answer by ChewyJan 16, 2018
The treats recommended for this product is the Starmark Interactive Dog Treats.

My dog is a massive chewer. Would this be good for her?
Answer by ChewyMay 28, 2018
This toy is perfect for determined chewers.

i have a english bulldog & i am not sure what size would be best for her. any suggestions
Answer by ChewyMar 02, 2019
To determine the best size for your pet, consider their jaw size and chewing habits. If they are a strong chewer, you may want o size up. The Medium has a diameter of 2.75 inches (close to tennis ball size). The Medium/Large has a diameter of 3.5 inches and the Large has a diameter of 4 inches.

Long lasting toy!

I purchased one of these YEARS ago in a store and it is still going strong. I have 2 medium-sized pit mixes, one of which destroys “tough” toys within minutes. It keeps them both busy for about an hour depending on the treat sizes. Helps tire them out too!

GREAT toy for a chewer

So, full disclosure, my 3 yo pitbull chewed off the little 'stoppers' that would keep the treats inside, so we don't typically use it as an engagement toy anymore. She LOVES chasing & chewing on this ball though. It's got a pleasant vanilla flavor and other than the little spokes that SHOULD trap any treats, it has proven to be very durable.

Distracting! Durable!

My dog loves this product! Keeps her distracted and having fun while she figures out how to get the treats from inside. Very durable since she is a big chewer. No damage to it yet!

Durable

I have to say that this ball is the best ball I have ever gotten for my 2 big (80lb) destructive dogs. They play and chew on them for a very long time before they start to break down. The dogs do eventually start to break the material apart but they are heavy chewers. Highly recommend and I will continue to buy!!

My GSD's Favorite Toy

Somehow, our 13 month old GSD pup lost his "ballie". We had it before he came along and I was doubtful that I could replace it. I found it here on Chewy and was very happy that it arrived quickly and was almost exactly the same - the color is a bit brighter and the material is very similar to the old one (which we found a couple of weeks after ordering this one). Now my boy has two ballies and if one is misplaced, he knows he has another one! Thank you Chewy for almost always having exactly what we need.

Big Green Ball

Our dog is a master chewer. This is our second purchase of a "Big Green Ball." The first one lasted 5 months which is incredibly impressive. No other chew toy has come close, and she chews on it every day. If anyone knows of other chew toys which work as well, I'd love to be advised. This ball is worth trying.

Forget about the treats; enjoy the bounce

We have 2 sibling 1.5 year-old puppies. When this 1st arrived, I tried putting kibble in the ball to make it more intriguing. 1st off, there is no way to take the ball apart, so I had to stuff the kibble in a couple at a time-- too time consuming! Then our dogs had difficulty getting the kibble to come out with rolling the ball. The one dog salivated so much into the ball, the kibble became a big gloppy mess-- very hard to get out! Never again will I put treats in this ball! With that said, the ball has a nice bounce to it and our 70-lb dogs can grip it well with their mouths. So, we like it for them to play around in the kitchen.

Beware! item contained possible mold!

I received this item in what looked like it’s original packaging. However, when I went to fill the ball with treats I discovered black spots throughout the inside. I thought it was from shipping and moving around the box, so I soaked the ball in dish soap and hot water overnight to try to remove, but it did not work. I don’t feel comfortable giving this to my puppy with unknown material inside that could very well be mold of some kind so I have already thrown it out. I don’t even care about a refund. It’s not worth sending this back and risking it getting delivered to another pup!! Buyer beware!

Great

Love this for my dog since I have laminate floors and plastic dispensers are super noisy. So far she hasn’t been able to chew through it (and she’s an aggressive chewer) but I remove it as soon as the food it out. She seems to have a good time rolling it around. I only wish the holes were a bit smaller (just based on my kibble size) and if it came with something to make it easy to fill it.

Dinner ball

My young beagle mix eats way too fast even with a slow eat bowl. Unfortunately at times, he eats so fast that he then throws it all back up. This dispenser ball is a life saver for us. We call it the dinner ball. We feed a portion of each meal in the slow feeder bowl and a portion in this dispenser ball. It slows the feed time which has eliminated the regurgitation that occurs without it. An added benefit is that it adds mental and physical exercise which has helped our young dog expend some of his crazy energy. He loves to push it with his nose and chase behind it and also bouncing it to release the food inside. You can see his mind working while he does it. You do have to use a kibble that is sturdy. No wet food. And a size that will fit. The “spokes” are adjustable with a little trim of the scissors. We only trimmed a little so the food doesn’t fall out too easily.
